Is my PSU broken?

Assuming that HWMonitor is accurate your 3.3v rail is out of specs, it should be +-5%. I doubt the guy did any repair on your motherboard, it is impractical to do component level repair, and almost all shop can't do component level repair. I would suggest you run the computer 1 stick or ram...

Is my PSU broken?

Those ferrite coils are solder to the pcb by the wires that make up the coil. So feeling lose don't mean nothing. To test the power supply get a multi-meter and measure the voltage output under load. What was the problem with your motherboard and how was it repaired?

Beware Newegg cheap (mfg) refurb HDDs.

I stopped buying Hard Drive from Newegg years ago for this reason. I am just dumbfounded that it is still happening.

Designing a new small form factor, Mini-ITX case. We need your suggestions

The case is too big for miniITX. If I was going for a mini build I would not want a case that big.

i7 4790k Noctua NH D15 temps.

I have tried all methods of applying the grease many time and my result are still the same. I think I just have the luck of getting very hot cpus.

i7 4790k Noctua NH D15 temps.

I have a 2600k oc to 4.4ghz with a D14 and a 5930k oc to 4.2ghz with auto-voltage with a D15s, both cpu goes up to the mid 80's running prime95. I don't know how these reviewer get such a low temperature either. I have checked the cpu and heat-sink surface and found no flaws.

I upgraded my system to MSI X99A Mpower and now the 2 usb2 port in the front of my ARC MIDI R2 dont' work. The usb3 port works fine, I have try both usb port on the motherboard with the same result. Are there any know compatibility issue with this?

5930k core temperature

I have the same heatsink, running Aida I get 68,65,69,63,67,63,69. The temperature in my first post was from running interburn. Are the odd cores on one side and the even cores on the other?

PC Sales down 7.7%; US up 1%

There are really no good reasons to upgrade or get a new computer these day. Intel is not offering any reasonable performance gain from one generation of CPU to the next. Microsoft is making the matter worst with Windows 8 and 10. These is just no WOW factor in the last few year fors anyone...

Dell laptop won't charge - help please

One thing about dell laptop is that you have to match the laptop with the exact charger for it to charge the battery. After Market battery are a joke, get the real thing!

Soldered ram and going bad?

There are no option in the bios to disable the on board memory. You would need a system board replacement in that event.
