I think for overall performance you’ll be better off with the GTX 460, price wise go with the EVGA GTX 550 Ti.
EVGA GTX 550 Ti $139.99 AFR $119.99

Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it. Even though I’ll be bottle-necking the card with my current setup, I’m leaning towards getting the GTX 560Ti regardless. Since this card will be a gift and cost absolutely zero dollars, I can’t pass it up. I’ll probably invest...
Awesome recommendations, I seriously appreciate it. Itll definitely save me a lot of cash, although Im still doing a bit more research on the GTX 560Ti.
Originally I was planning on getting a GTX 460. It wasnt until the GTX 560 Ti came out that I decided against it.

Excellent question, currently with the 8800GT the resolution compatible with the monitor is 1360x768 once I purchase a full 1080p monitor I’d like to move towards a 1920x1080 resolution. I just want to purchase a card that will last me another 3-4 years like the 8800GT has.
Sweet finds. I was just looking at the same card the benchmarks don’t look that bad compared to the 6950.

I was originally planning on getting the Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti but decided against it since my case can barely hold (size) an 8800GT. So Im back at square one, only this time Im taking the lazier route and asking the community for feedback on a good card under $300.

Trying to upgrade from an 8800GT, and I thought about getting Windows 7 but I might hold off until Windows 8. All I really play is World of Warcraft or The Witcher.
Will the performance of the GTX 560 outperform the 8800GT while still using an old OS like Windows XP SP2?
I just installed a new motherboard so far all temperature readings appear normal. All three cores are indicated to be at 41*c on idle w/Stock Heatsink/Fan. I downloaded CPUID to double check and noticed that the temperature for TMPIN2 was/is at 104*c. I have no idea what TMPIN2 is or where it is...
Ive purchased the AMD Athlon II X3 445 Rana 3.1GHz and a GeForce GTX 460. Currently looking for an inexpensive ($150) motherboard. Ive considered both the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AM3 $149.99 & MSI NF750-G55 AM3 $99.99. Im slightly interested in OCing the CPU but not a big concern.
Will my PC handle the newer Nvidia & Radeon cards?
