    It's because in some cases, those anxiety disorders are caused by a chemical imbalance that can only be "cured" with medication. There are definitely situations where popping a pill is just the laziest thing to do, but sometimes, there isn't any other alternative. OCD (mild and moderate cases)...

    I wear a women's 9-ish, men's 7 1/2 (which means I can wear my son's shoes now!). I'd guess you'd wear a women's 12, which isn't unheard of to be in stock these days. Most shoe stores go up to a women's 11, but it's possible a store specializing in athletic shoes would have a larger range.
