I checked the BIOS, and there wasn't a section to turn off hardware pre-fetch. Like usual though, since the computer was cold when I just tried doing this, it froze several times while looking through the BIOS options.

Two identical HDDs, newone is slow

Any alternatives? I ran CHKDSK through Windows (Property-->tools-->error checking) which I think is the same thing. I began first thing in the morning. Now, 11 hours later it is approximately 1/10 done. That is slow! Any other ideas on how to fix it or is the drive just bad?

What do you know, there is a message. There's one red error message, and two yellow times (I tried each of the 3 USB ports). I pulled out the USB the last two times though, when it was obvious it wasn't going to work. What do you need to know from the message? I don't know how to read it...

I don't think it's sytem heat related, because it will hang even when the system just starts up, but you probably know more than me. There's no error message when the problem occurs. If I'm transferirng a file the progress bar will just stay in the same place, even if I hit cancel. It isn't...

RAM issues

What's uncore voltage? Yeah I was using two of the same set in a non-overclocked system. However...I manually set the voltage settings to 1.609v for my RAM and it passed memtest twice! Hurrah Thanks everybody!!

DSEK corneal transplant

Make sure you shake the pred forte since it's a suspension not a solution. Corneal edema will last a few months, and that will produce symptoms such as glare and halos. At least with DSEK that leaves most of the cornea intact, so it produces a lot less problems than a full thickness corneal...

Thanks! I can't remember if I tested 3 at a time or not. I will look into the voltage...according to Newegg, my RAM is rated for 1.5v, so I will see about increase the voltage to check if it makes a difference. Aw crap.
