    Also if your traces touched the lower bridges, it should have only shown a non unlocked CPU in WCPUID. But, a shorted CPU will still get very hot. Ask the seller if he (the original buyer could possibly get it replaced for you), if it was me I would do you the favor once, but only once.

    I thought I had the fix, when I was getting a -5Volt reading on the ASUS probe, so I went from a 300W to a 400W PCCooling PS . It did fix the -5 reading PS voltages but it still froze using the 1004c Bios-Promise updated driver for long boot time. Good Luck Everyone, I know how frustrating it...

    GG, I'm using the ASUS A7V revision 1.02 also. Taking it back I guess is a serious option, you only have 21 days for exchange or return. Yes this is the second CPU-Mb, and their techs said all was well in order. ASUS is confused on a fix, as well as AMD techs, so I honestly can't say I know either.
