I have been trying to figure out how long flash memory can last if it's only written to a few times basically being using for long term storage of a static memory. What I am looking to do is convert all my old family video tapes to digital and store them just on an SSD so they can easily be...
But this isn't really that good of a deal. Target has it listed at 129.99. 20% off brings it down to 103 which is only $3 more expensive than amazon and I didn't even factor in tax.
This is the BX100. Anandtech did a review on this as the best power consumption ssd for it's price and performance

I purchased two of these: one for my desktop and one for my transformer book trio. Excellent performance!
Even without the rebate it's still 220!

Tiger Direct has the Seagate 600 480Gb on sale for $199.99 after $20 MIR. The deal ends at 11:59 PM EST 5/19.
