Type what I have written between the quotations and it should do the job..;)
divinemartyr: Come who are you trying to kid? Several other people who own a SBlive on this thread alone have never heard this mysterious "Hiss" you speak of!! Lets see some proof of this "known issue" you speak of.:P
Proof is in the pudding and if several users even on this...
divinemartyr: " Sure you can turn down volumes to compensate for the hiss on the card, but if you're having to compensate for the card, haven't you already realized the card was inferior to begin with? "
Hiss??? What hiss? This certainly has something to do with SN ratio of your...
Have you installed the latest VIA 4in1 AGP driver? I used to have a K6-2 450 and initially had trouble with any AGP card untill I installed the latest 4in1 drivers from VIA.
SammySon: Your score seems pretty low but it's probably just the "Old" TNT2 that is to blame. I suggest you post your scores on the MadOnion website to compare it with simmilar systems before you worry about the lowish score. My system is:-
Celeron 2 600@675Mhz CAS2 RAM@113Mhz
Prophet...
So in my case where room temps often hover around 30C an idle temp of 34C is good but the max temps under load like 50C is bad huh!?? It looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and Lap the G'Orb and take my chance with the reseating. Any tips that will help ensure that I don't smash that...
Best idea is to test it out. If it's all stable then alls well. It does sound like what you have done will give you a good go at it but there is no garuntee that the CPU will make it to 850Mhz.
Good luck;)
Thanks guys.. I do have a fan at the front of my case blowing in and another right behind the slocket sucking out but this doesn't seem to help the high temps. I have a horrible feeling that the G'Orb isn't sitting completely flat on the die. If others get 35C max then that can be the only...
:disgust: I read endless threads and reviews on the GOrb and decided it was a good solution for my C600 & P3V4X machine. Well it seemed to be quite OK while it was winter here in OZ but I always knew the real test would be in summer when the ambient room temps get to around 30C. I have only...
Actaeon: I have a retail version of the Prophet 2 MX and have no problem getting it to:-
Memory clock @ 195
Core Clock @ 195
I have a Blue Orb on it and have no problems with strange pixels or any image problems at all.
I use the Hercules drivers to overclock. In fact I found the Hercules...
Will my old PC66 RAM work with the KT133 chipset. I have seen some spec's for the Aopen AK73pro and there is no 66Mhz FSB. I suppose there is no point seeing there are no socket A CPU's that use it!! Maybe a seemingly stupid question but I have no experience with the latest AMD setups...:o
taylor34: I recently upgraded from a V3 2K O'ced to 166mhz (ie same as a V3 3k) to a Hercules MX card and although I haven't been able to test it on glide games, the overall image quality and speed in the games I do play (Q3, NOLF, IGI) in 32bit has really impressed me. I have heard around the...
CompFreek: - Don't let them get ya blowing an artery mate. All this is just a p#ssing contest!
I had K62 450 and it ran Q3 just fine @ 800*600 with a V3 2K at least 45fps on the normal setting and by the looks of the K63+ specs + a GF2 GTS it will fly...Good luck to you and have a good Xmas...
Anyone have an idea how a MX Card will perform on a PII400??
This guy has a Creative Voodoo Banshee card and I'm sure that the MX card will kick it's a**. The question is will the performance increase v's dollars on the PII system be worth it? I think the PII only has AGPX1 is that correct and...
What sort of Video card is in your system? It may be that your video card can't handle MPEG 4 decoding..You may need to buy a DVD decoder if you video card cant handle the task.
