    Well, using the beta bios, Coretemp 0.95.4 shows my temps as 100C/10C/11C it is the same at idle or under full Orthos load, lol. The temperature on my evaporator (heatsink), as measured using a known-accurate themocouple is -60C.

    Any one see this problem yet? My CPU core temp sensor is stuck at 17C. Same in BIOS and in Windows. Load, no load, doesn't matter. I suspect that the BIOS maybe be having trouble reporting negative temperatures (I run phase change cooling) and is just defaulting to 17C. Also for anyone...

    Wireless LAN Adapter - free after rebate

    I picked up one from e-cost back in February...rebate took about 10 weeks, but it came. They work pretty well. Not quite a much range as my d-link usb adaptor, but the installation and setup was much smoother. BTW, it does work with Netstumbler under Windows XP.

    I think it would depend on the desk. If it is oil-stained wood like mine, I'm guessing it might not stick that well. On Formica or slick varnished wood, I'm guess it will stick like crazy.

    This would pretty much suck as a monitor for a car-puter. Too small and the text is going to be very fuzzy due to the simple video interface. It will cost more, but try and find one with a standard VGA input. Search ebay for POS (point of sale) monitors.

    I could be wrong on this, but I don't believe the video card has enough ram onboard to support 24-bit color at 800x600. I think the best bet is to stick with 16bit color.

    You have to use the PCI vid card that comes with the display, so you'll need a PCI that can accept a standard PCI card. There are good stable drivers for win98/ME and for 2000/XP. I'm not sure about Linux.

    You're right about the non-rechargeable, non-standand battery being a down side, but you can get it with the Nikon rechargable battery and charger for $260 shipped. Still a very hot deal. You have to call to get the deal and they do try and pressure you into all the accesories, but just say no.
