Duron at 133MHz FSB?

This makes perfect sense to me, and explains why I haven't been able to get my 1.3ghz Duron to POST at 150+mhz FSB, even with my new Nforce2 and the BIOS multiplier set to like 3x. So does anyone have a link to pics of what I need to set the bridges to on my 1.3 Duron?

BH6 Upgrade Success.......Yeah!!!

If it wont boot after a bios flash, try resetting the BIOS. either pull the battery and start the board for a sec, then shut it down and put the battery back, or there might be a jumper. This has worked both times on the 2 boards I flashed that wouldn't boot

PPGA Celery fit in an 815?

My friends Honkinese brand mobo crapped out on him, and he's got a Celery 466 PPGA. Will PPGA celerons work in the new 815 boards? Specifically this 466 with the TUSL2-C? Thanks!

Tell me if this is a power problem

Quick question.......

Well actually I like to leave space between my cards, as long as I can stay away from irq conflicts of course. I figure the space will help keep them a bit cooler, even though it probably won't help noticable, it certainly couldn't hurt reliablility. Of course give your max o/c'd video card...

Missing pins on Durons.. legit? or hoax

even with remarking and overclocking AMD would end up loosing BIG TIME on the monetary side of things (and PR for that matter) if they removed the pins. Think of how much money it would take to re-tool the dies and the amount of down time the production line would have. That is mega-bucks for...

will a 300a running 2.0v w/o heatsink/fan be ok?

Dark4ng3l is right, do NOT even boot it up w/o at least a heatsink on it. I know you can run p2's, celerys and the like w/o any cooling for a very short while, but why risk it? I'm sure you can get a cheap heatsink for a few dollars. I'd _give_ you one of my extras if you live in san diego :)...

Stupid Problem, Please help

Hmmm it sounds like a simple keyboard problem. I've had very similar things happen to me on many different keyboards where the alt, ctrl or shift keys will get stuck on sometimes. Just bang the 6 six keys kinda hard (3 on the left, 3 on the right) a few times and that clears it up. If thats...

thanks a lot! the registry fix worked great, and it's running in 4x mode. Of course i dont notice a difference, but it's nice piece of mind :) aventari

in WCPUID it shows my kt7 only at AGP 2x.. I have a inno3d geForce2 MX I set 4x enabled in the BIOS but it's not working. I have the latest 4n1 drivers and AGP drivers installed too. Any suggestions? thanks! aventari

Dual Ata100 hdd RAID setup, or Single SCSI hdd?

I just put together a RAID system with a KT7-RAID and 2 IBM GXP75 30gig drives, and it is FAST. 44000 in the Sisoft Sandra disk benchmark, and it loads windows in like 5-10 seconds. Plus the install and setup was soo easy. I just setup the RAID 0 array in the highpoint bois, and it worked like...

How do I format my drive so I can go back to Windows 98?

what file system is the drive formatted with? FAT32 or NTFS? if it's ntfs you will need to FDISK the drive and then format it. otherwise just boot off the a: drive and FORMAT C: /s the /s puts the system files on the drive aventari

HELP! Having to re-install CPU/heatsink

if it were me, i would clean off both the heatsink and the cpu (use rubbing alcohol) and put some thermal grease on it. Make sure you dont touch the surfaces after you clean them w/ the alcohol cuz oil from your skin contaminates it aventari

Help flashing BIOS on KT7?

first thing is to make sure the awdflash utility you have is the newest version. Second of all, try flashing it without all of those switches. I'm not sure if you really need them in your case, but i dont think it would hurt to flash w/o all those options

sound card trouble in winME

I had the problem w/ my mx-300 locking up the PC when sound would play in ME. I was running the mx-300 drivers that came on the disk. I was going to try the the vortex2 reference drivers, but i just bought an SD Live! instead. heh a bit easier. I would try the reference drivers though

Problems using scandisk on Hard Drive

Have you ctrl-alt-del'd to make sure all the other porgrams are closed? sometimes a background program can write to the disk as well. All you should have running is explorer and maybe systray GL!

hmmm i dont see how the ISP can only have support for win9x.. It's probably that the sh*tty software they install when they setup the cable modem is only for 9x.. You know--the customized IE browser and the other garbage that will run at bootup. An easy way to do it would be to get a Linksys...

How fast does an internet connection need to be to watch streaming video?

it totally depends on the video. Usually the video will have a size listing, like 300k/sec or they will offer the same video at like 30k/sec in worse quality. Cable modem is the way to go in my opinion aventari
