It's a fair enough point. What had limited me to 22" was the size of my desk but now I can move on. I was about to give my existing one away to a bud, there's no second hand market in Luxembourg at all.
I looked at GTX570s but they're at least 300 to 350 euros here :( And based on what I read...
Hi all,
I'm looking into upgrade my PC a little in view of the games coming up this autumn.
Here's what I currently have:
Core i5-760 on P7P55D
Vertez 2 SSD
1TB + 500GB Samsung Spinpoints
4GB Corsair XMS RAM
Samsung B2230 22" screen
GTX460 768MB Cyclone
I have around 500 euros to spend. I...
Nae worries :) In fact it is indeed around 90 euros in EU! But the door opens to the left which breaks it for me.
Now however I am seriously considering putting in 10 euros more for a Corsair 400R..! However my Mobo has no USB3 headers :(
Reviews look good, but 95 pounds is not $95 and not 95, closer to 120 in fact. But that's a very sexy case for sure...
I think I'm pretty set on the 690 II as it's a little cheaper. I'll get it in a month or so :) It seems it'll fit the 6950 I'm dreaming about so that's all I need.
Thanks y'all :) the Corsairs are way too expensive (150 euros or so). The 690 II Advanced is a little over what I'd hoped to spend but it looks like money well spent. Thanks!
I'm soon planning on updating my Antec300; several reason for it, mostly because I can and want.
The 300 is cheap and nice enough but cable management isn't easy with it. Not very modular either.
So I'm looking for something the same size or bigger. The only constraint is that while I...
OW makes sense... DOH! I noticed that for choppers and for some reason never with the APC... Big change from BF2 (but it sure even things out).
Thanks y'all :)
Hi guys, two questions here:
I got BC2 as a PC game and it works fine.
I try to get Vietnam through Steam but Steam doesn't see the original BC2.
Is there any way to have it add BC2 to my library..? All other games are picked up by Steam correctly...
Second, about vehicles. What's up with...
I don't live in the US and it's about 180 euros in EU.
The processor will really be the last update I make... I don't think I need any more RAM, so it's only if I still want a snappier system with my SSD. My old laptop had a 5,400 rpm HDD, a core2duo 2Gz and 2GB of RAM and hell, that seems to...
Hehe nice... Big Bleach fan here too.
Anyway I have an OCZ Vertex2 SSD in my shopping basket already.
Only issue remainign for me is that I have an OEM version of W7 and I'm not sure I'll be able to re-install safely, I'll do some research.
I was also considering getting rid of the core i3...
Core i3-540 (stock cooler, no OC)
4GB Corsair DDR3 1,333Mhz RAM
ASUS P7P55D mobo
Samsung F3 500GB HDD
MSI Cyclone GTX460 768MB (overclocked with afterburner)
Antec 300
I play BlackOps, SCII, BadCompany II at 1920.
I have several options lined up to bring this realy up to speed, get rid of any...
Mostly just to put in my OS (W7 64bits Home Premium) and a couple of games if I have the same...
I'm not sure about budget, I seem to see SSDs of 100GB from 100 to 200 and up euros.
What would be a good, reliable SSD for not too expensive these days..? There's a lot of choice out there and I'm...
I'm wanting my first DSLR for christmas, I think there are some keen photographers here so I figured I'd ask... :)
What I do want;
Something intuitive, easy to work with
Something with opportunities to progress, and more manual controls behind the surface that I can unlock as I learn
What I...
Quick question guys... I've reversed the mouse Y axis for piloting, but it doesn't work when I use a joystick; mouse is reversed but not the joystick. How does this make any sense...?
Floyds are VERY easy to deal with if you just keep in mind the big picture.
Something I wrote a very long time ago:
http://www.seymourduncan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68754
I usually leave a sock folded in two under the Floyd so the FR doesn't marr the guitar's finish and I leave the springs...
I run an MSI GTX460 768 Cyclone which I've overclocked a bit.
I'd like to either run easy tests to see whether my OC are stable or run a program in the background which will record my FPS, temps, power consumption etc... for me to later analyse... (and yes I'm a bit of a noob, but Cyclone +...
I finished my first build a couple of weeks back and I'm very happy with it. It all runs just fine and everything went pretty much perfectly (why would anyone get a core i7 for anything less than daily stuff + gaming is beyond me when the i3 is so cheap and works so nicely :D).
It turns out...
I finally got the game.
I've played it online about three noghts now... One night for about 4 hours, where I progressed A LOT (one level, at least 4 unlocks).
Then the next day all my unlocks were gone. Just as if they never happened. :( Meh.
Anyway the game is incredible in multiplayer. Real...
Thanks :) This can't be shipped to Luxembourg but at least I know what to get! Some Amazon merchants don't ship to Luxembourg/internationally. I may try alternate.de...
Hi, I'd like to add more USB ports to the front of the case, as well as an SD (SDHC, SDXC, maybe micro SD) card reader. All my 3.5" drive bays are internal, so it'd have to somehow fit in a 5.25" external drive bay as my DVD burner.
I really don't know much about this kind of hardware; what...
Thanks for the tips :) I noticed a big improvement in image quality with 8xAA, without being bothered this much by the decrease in frame rate. However this is on the campaign mode and I've not yet tried Multiplayer...
I'll OC it lightly (up to 800Mhz for now) with 4xAA and see what happens...
I've just got the bone stock Antec 300 case and graphics card.
I'm playing BC2 with 8xAA and the framerate could do with a little improvement. It's definitely playable and stunning, but I know I could push it a little.
I'd be using Afterburner; raise bus clock by 25mhz at a time, play for half...
I run a bone stock Antec 300 with stock i3 cooler. No extra fans.
I would like to start overclocking (lightly) as I am soon getting BadCompany 2 for which my system is a little light.
So I'm thinking about a cheap, decent CPU cooler to replace the Intel stock cooler and a front fan blowing...
Thanks guys... as far as my researches went, it should be working fine with Linux and so should my core i3-540 :(
I'll try the classic CD install with noapic install option...
Thanks guys :) Integrated card is kaput so I need to buy anyway... And this was not overclocked, right now everything is running bog standard (so far... I can't help but tweak things which aren't broken, just ask my poor guitars).
I'll see what they have in the only one store open after I...
I believe my mobo's adapter is on the fritz... after less than a week of me having built this PC.
Whenever a cable is plugged in, it just keeps on searching for it. I.e. it knows something's different from when nothing's plugged in, however it still tells me nothing's plugged in/it's not...
AH! Well I'm stupid. I knew all along it was a screen thing, and yet I posted screenshots... which would not render the same issues unless you have the same screen and settings *facepalm*
Issue was due to me using the monitor in AV mode instead of PC mode. No idea what it is. But it's all...
My system is self built:
ASUS P7P55D mobo
Core i3-540
MSI GTX460
4GB Corsair RAM
I tried both 64 and 32 bits.
First, the live session is constrained to 600 x 800... on a 22" screen. This is not that bad, I just can install the restricted drivers when I get this installed for good.
So I go...
It's been working fine until today. Nothing wrong. Plugged into the router with the RJ45 cable, all's good.
Mobo's an ASUS P7P55D.
It worked this morning.
I come back home after work and it seems to me that the hardware keeps on trying to find a cable, to no avail. I try the cable on another...
Thanks, that's good to know :)
Do you guys know whether the included 3 speed switches could limit the fans' RPMs if they get plugged to the mobo instead of straight to the PSU..?
Ah this is Luxembourg, if there was a market to sell/resell them, you could find them in stores :P
Very small city, but if there's money to be made, it will be made...
Thanks Bruceb, not sure how I missed this link... :|
This is the product that I need I believe:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...tid=48&subcat=
With this I can connect the case fans to the motherboard.
£10.60 for shipping for two of these cables to Luxembourg... that'd make it...
Thanks. I found what I needed on overclockers.co.uk but there is no mention of international shipping prices and I don't like creating accounts just to find this out... We'll see if I can find a big computer components online store in Germany.
Alternate.be doesn't seem to have them, Amazon has them with third parties where shipping for 2 1.9euros cables is 40 euros... And of course Luxembourg has no specialized shops around with this.
My case has two fans with the big 4 pins molex cables. So they are connected straight to the PSU...
