My order is cancelled. Dell is unbelievable. My expected ship date was tomorrow. :(

Dear Dell Customer,
Thank you for choosing Dell for your recent software and accessories

I have these speakers, they sound great. The sub sounds very clean and can go very low (the sub sounds MUCH better than the Klipsh 4.1 sub that my roomate had). It is a great system, it cost me $200 one year ago.
Just bought 2 more for XMas presents from Dell. ;)
Anybody know where I can get Windows 2000 Server upgrade w/ 10 licenses for under $450?
Thanks!

Big Bird,
My roomate and I both bought the KT7-Raid board. Mine works fine (after buying Crucial memory), and he had to send his back because of the same problems that you are having. The company tested his board and determined that it was a bad board... He had the exact same problems as you...
I am having a problem installing Windows NT workstation on my computer. I partitioned my drive into 2 partitions, and am installing NT on the primary partition. I formatted the drive using the Win98 format command, because I couldn't find a format command on the NT disk. The problem I am...
Funks,
Just got 256 MB of Crucial, my KT7-RAID has been super stable with it. I did have 128 MB of NEC memory... That was nothing but probs... Wish you luck with the Crucial!
Abrasion,
I just received my Crucial memory 3 days ago. I have been throwing everything at my machine now, and it hasn't crashed (knock on wood). I really think my stability problems had to do with cheap RAM. I definitely will never go cheap again.
I had the exact same probs as you. I got so frustrated I called Creative Tech support. They told me not to install LiveWare 3.0 with my board (A7V at the time - since then I got rid of it), just the liveware 3.0 drivers. You can find the drivers on the Soundblaster website (called...
The beta bios works well to solve this problem with Maxtor's ATA 100 drives. I did this myself! Go to
KT7-Raid FAQ and download the beta bios from the BIOS section.
I have been having stability probs with my setup. What's the best quality memory for this setup (but also not too expensive)? I have a feeling my memory is the cause of the stability problems. Thanks!!!

From a former GTS owner:
GET A Radeon! It is heads above the GTS in my opinion (Considering I could never get my setup to be stable with my Geforce). The 2d/3d quality is better... And I can't tell a diff in framerates. Its a great card.
Definitely get a Radeon.
After owning both a Geforce 2 and a Radeon, I can tell you that the Radeon has much better 2d quality (I for one use my computer for more than just fps), and the DVD playback is outstanding. No probs with my T-Bird either. I don't even notice a speed diff in 3d, but...
Futuramatic,
Had a Geforce 2 GTS 32 MB card. 2d was terrible. It also caused conflicts with my system all the time.
I Bought a Radeon 64 MB last week. I have had no stability probs, and the 2d is excellent. 3d games seem to run just as fast as on the Geforce, if not faster at high...
Go to Dayton Misc webpage and download Powerstrip. This will let you enable/disable sideband addressing. Just a hint, I have a Ledtek Geforce 2 and I have to disable this feature to get most 3d games running without stalls.
