I would expect USB legacy compatibility this to be there 100% when a card comes with such a specification. Bottom line, all that cards they should meet compatibility with older motherboards, because new motherboards does not need such cards. This is the one which I got, and does not do the...

case fan connection on motherboard

I bet that the connector on the motherboard, has an plastic pin, that the 3 Pin plug , gets in it , by only one way ... If this plastic is broken , then take a picture and show it to us , so to help more.

What is this bios setting

Set it to enable ... it will expand the IRQ address = more devices on your system will work more freely with out to share resources. Yea its a technical thingy , but what is more important than all, are to have this setting enabled , before even you install windows.

Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 fan headers

At the GIGABYTE EP35C-DS3R Both CPU_FAN & SYS_FAN2 are 4 pin and PWM . But funny enough the manual shows, that the SYS_FAN2 gets powered with 5 volts instead of 12V.

Asrock 775 dual-vsta 3.19a bios winflash

Those Asrock , its does not work at all or stable , with the latest CPU. They do not have capable electrical parts around the socket, so to properly support anything as dual or quad. Get a better board , move on .

New setup with GIGABYTE GA-EP35C-DS3R + Q6600

If any owner of the EP35C-DS3R , faces issues with cold boot : System powers up, Bios starts to boot the CPU but fails , Bios shut down , Bios restarts the system with default Bios settings ... then It boots correctly. Read this to cure it :) ( yes it my finding ) Plus some O/C Tips...

Socket 775 recommendations

On my Creative X-Fi Music , I had add the front panel from an older Creative card. (cheaper to get - but needs some mods on the cable ribbon ) And I have every possible type of output , in front of my eyes. :)

Its not wise , to format and reinstall everything just for that (onboard spdif) Get an Creative PCI sound card - With front panel , and you will have even better sound and more options. My Gigabyte board , has the option that you need .. But has other issues , cold boot with O/Ced CPU...

Computer hangs at POST when SATA drive is connected, but was working fine before =[

Read the manual , if it supports all the SATA ports in use , with the IDE ones enabled. Some motherboards have limitations.

OCZ PC2-4300 (266) Room for improvement

I do not believe that Intel will share any info about the proper value of this resistor. Another " possibility " are to spot the same PCB and measure the healthy one. But the most logical would be to accept their repair , if their fee sounds logical to you.

Those "signs of life" its not enough so to reflash your board. I downloaded your MB manual , there is no info at all about flashing Bios other than the FOX system updating utility. And so you have two last options ... 1) Send the motherboard to Fox for repair .. or 2) Get an Gigabyte...
