i5 2500k getting too hot, new cooling solution? H80 or more air?

That is one golden CPU. I would try to remount the heatsink to rule out just an unlucky mounting issue as was suggested. If that does not lower the temps. then you should look into better solutions.

swivel fittings

Swivel fittings usually are a little more prone to leaking, but really any fitting can leak if not properly taking care of/manufactured. Koolance is one of the only companies I really trust with fittings besides the higher end BP fittings.

Looks like a decent alternative to MDPC, but your heat shrink job needs some work. Might have to try it to compare with some of the other sleeve I have got from various companies and review each of them.

It's nice to dream.

I would rather get a Quad G34 and save my money. And as far as I know the Quadros perform on par with regular GTX xxx for way more price for extra memory and other features.

How do I test for watercooling leaks ?

I would go with what everyone else has already stated. Go with custom water or go with air cooling. These kits are nice for awhile, but are not really worth it in my opinion. If you do wish to check for leaks, just use a paper clip in the 24pin while only having the watercooling components...

Might want to check your TIM to see if it is fine and that you have proper tightening on the heatsink. Otherwise I would chalk it down to a mix of ambient temps, folding WUs, and the overclock. If it goes higher, I would start to worry but right now it should be fine.

BGs are usually more prominent during school breaks/new content/arena season along with raiding or anything else in the game AFAIK. Making the weapons require a certain amount of points gained for the season may be another reason as you cannot just farm up the honor and buy a decent weapon...

Are you sure all cores are dedicated to the CPU instead of 1 core to the GPU and the rest to the CPU? I am running at 4.8GHz with my 2600k at around 18k to 22k depending on the WU. As for temps., what is your ambient and what are you using to cool each?

looking for info and advice on first folding project

I would def. go with the CPUs as of right now until they implement the bonus for GPUs. My i7-2600k @4.6GHz right now is getting 20k PPD depending on the WU and that is without doing the bigadv. My GTX580 at 2k shader is only getting 18.5k PPD and cost just as much as my mobo and CPU combined...

League of Legends - F2P MOBA (like DOTA) part 2

Going to be interesting to try out Yorick again. Played him the first day and gave up because he had just about no dmg or survivability. Other nerfs/buffs are pretty decent. Glad to hear they are also fixing some of the matchmaking since all the games I have been in (lvl 28 as of 3 days ago)...

Heads up for bigadv Folders...

Glad to see they are normalizing the points system more than it had been with the bigadv WUs. Now if only they would implement the QRB for GPUs and 64 bit client for Windows.

As do I (different name), but I cannot justify the quad prices right now, although I just built my SR-2 (air-cooling in 90F temps. vs. waiting a few more weeks for Nateman to finish my blocks). If you start a farm, you might need to get a nuclear power plant outside to give them juice...

curious fan placement question - water cooling

It should not really make a huge difference turning the fan the opposite way. It might actually help temps to pull in air from the back since there is no other heat exhaust. But it would be nice to see if there is any change going from one to the other.

So why go with the 590? Only part that confused me, and I thought I might as well see what the reasoning was for it. If you go with gaming, then I would say you are fine or could have went 2x570s and had less heat and better performance. Sorry just a minor nitpick from another member...

Why aren't monitors getting bigger?

I would love to have a monitor that got rid of the bezel in between my 2 monitors, but that is unlikely to happen with the slow pace that displays have taken. Would be nice to set the game or main window in the center and use the sides as browsers/whatever. Granted I could just buy another...
