If you haven't done so, go to autozone or advanced auto parts and get them to do a free reading with their OBD reader. Even if the check engine light is off, there might still be a code in the memory. But yeah like someone already pointed out, the gas gauge might not be perfectly linear...

I already have the Klipsch DD-5.1 preamp/decoder. Of course, Klipsch got cheap and left out Prologic II decoding. Just want to have decent surround for two-channel materials (CD, mp3s, even movies if no ac3/dts). any ideas?

Need help with simple DVD VOB file editing

hmm... I just noticed my laptop's power brick's specs work out to 64.98W... so this means worst case scenario that's the max consumption by the entire system? that's crazy... just one light bulb.

Hot deal on acoustic guitar

I am just starting to learn guitar... would this be a "waste" since at this point I don't know jack and most likely can't tell the difference? I like electric but have been told to start on acoustic, so I've been searching for an acoustic with plug output. Any recommendations?

what's Swish? anyway, unfortunately i experienced this problem again today. It was Firefox with two tabs, one to weather.com. I closed it and reloaded the site, getting a different ad and killing the problem. Anything else I can do short of a format/reinstall?

I have partition magic 8 installed, and I found under Delete Partition there's an option for "Secure Erase". That should be sufficient for making data recovery impossible, correct?

do you mean C:\Program Files? I have the MX 2004 suite, and I don't see a folder for shockwave. I never was clear on the difference between flash and shockwave. Anyone care to clear this up for me?

I forgot to mention I have Macromedia MX 2004 suite installed. Also, when this incident takes place, I can make CPU utilization drop significantly if I scroll the IE/Firefox window so that the flash ad/animation is hidden. It'll go back up to near or at 100% if I scroll back so the flash...

If by disabled you mean setting the drive for quick removal under device manager, then that has been the setting ever since I got this setup going. If I am missing another setting on delayed write, please post back.
