I vote for C300 128GB - you can get them today from Newegg for $199 shipped and you know it is reliable as they have been out for some time.
Any compared to the newer 120GB-128Gb drives they up there with the fastest.
They released a driver that lets drives other than drives in the array use trim. So if you have 2 drives in raid 0 and another drive not in that array the 3rd drive will have trim enabled.
Any drives in the array will not have trim enabled.
They show ships in 1-2 days.

Could be a good month for SSD releases if the G3 and Vertex 3 make it out soon!!
If you look in the Sale/Trade forum here you can get an intel 80GB G2 for around the price you are looking to spend.
GREAT drive and very reliable - you can't go wrong.
If you can wait a month I believe several of the Gen 3 drives will be coming out. Intel - Crucial and and bunch of SF-2000 drivess will be released.
$400 will get you a KILLER drive from most makers.
You could also look on the for sale/trade forum here and ask if anyone has an old socket 939 they want to get rid of. I'll bet you could get one cheap - then wait for the P67 fix and get the upgrade you want.
One option.
Train the way you want to race (or in your case for the speed you want)
Do 1 mile of 100m sprints then jog 100m then spring 100m....etc.
Then to 400's for 2 miles - spring 400 jog 200...etc.
You will get fast.
