hmm.. the cooler came with thermal paste already pre applied to the waterblock, it was a good even layer, and I screwed the waterblock down firmly onto the CPU with thumbscrews, its realy a very easy no brainer installation.. does anyone think its worth reseating the actual CPU into the socket...
Hi forum, I am in a bit of a dellema at the moment. I purchased an i7 950 (3.07ghz) last year thinking I could do a small overclock with stock cooler, maybe 3.4ghz, but turns out the chip couldnt even handle Prime95 at STOCK 3ghz, within a matter of seconds (maybe 5) the temperature would sore...
I have an i7 950 at stock settings with the intel stock cooler. My case is a coolermaster HAF 922 with 2x200mm intakes in the front and side, 1x120mm intake at the bottom and 3x120mm exhaust fans at the top and rear. It's a nice cool day and all my fans are going at max but the CPU is idling at...

Is it true that SSD performance increases with capacity? I am considering the 60gb corsair FORCE, but if there are some good reasons to go bigger then I might.. Also, why 60gb and not 64gb? lol seems strange.. anyway thanks forum

yep.. brand new.. they really shuld supply some kind of "washers" to cushion between the bolt and the board.. first my new gtx480 was damaged in transit, fedex basicaly threw an elephent onto the box and now this.. Does anyone here think I shuld actually take the time to install the rest of the...
hey forum, I tried posting this before but for some reason the page crashed and now I have to type this all over *sigh* today I tried installing a 3rd party cpu cooler, the CoolerMaster 212 plus onto my EVGA x58 motherboard. I wasnt sure how tight the nuts on the backplate should be so I just...
