No, I don't plan to SLI, and that PSU looks great. Thanks for suggestion. Yes 4 SSDs, 512GB system drive + 3 256GB for games and stuff. Any suggestions for memory? Is 3200 significantly faster than lets say 3000? I just picked cheapest 3200 16GB kit with what looked like good timings...

I'm planning to upgrade my aging PC (2500K + DDR3 + AsRock Extereme 3 Gen 3) to something modern. I'm keeping video card (1080 Ti) and all drives (1 optical, 4 SSDs and 2 HDDs). Everything else must be upgraded. It's been a while since last major overhaul, so I'll need some sanity check here...

Downloaded from Google, unzipped fine with WinRar 5.20 x64 beta 3 trial version. VRAM usage was 4.8GB @ 1080p and ~6.5 @ 2560x1440.

Thanks for posting this and all your work on uncapping the fps. I followed your steps, set fps cap to 300, vsync off, and ran it with no problems. It was pretty cool to watch, albeit it looked kinda blurry on 1440p monitor @ 1920x1080. Titan X @ 1450 Mhz: min 38, max 172, avg. 60.407

That is utter BS. I have my Titan X OCed to 1354, which is 16% OC from stock boost of 1164, with pretty conservative fan curve that tops at 63%. It is no louder than my old OCed 780 Ti ACX, which was open air. Far, far cry from reference 290/x noise. And yes, I also owned 2 reference 290s...

I meant that I think that my 2500k is bottlenecking my Titan a little in Valley test, especially at 1080p. That's my theory though, I might be wrong. The cooling is adequate, I'm at 4.6Ghz and temps are in upper 50s at load.

Gee, I don't know about the killing thing. Here is my single GTX 980 @ 1532 being 1 FPS faster than your 770 SLI. These cards clock really well.

If you're talking out of the box experience, or comparing the worst Titan sample against best 780, then maybe. Titan throttles pretty bad on stock bios. 780 just barely. However, with custom bios, as I showed before, 780 is having helluva hard time matching lower clocked Titan, let alone beating...

Did you purchase a Titan ?

I can raise memory to 3400 stable, but card throttles more. With 3250 I have core pegged to 1124 in most demanding games almost constantly, apart from few dips here and there. And it's on stock volts.

Definitely doesn't look right, it's almost like you're overriding AA settings in nvidia control panel (or in inspector). Sgssaa is not being applied for sure. Can you post screenshot of your control panel's default 3d settings profile?
