Hi all, I've used iMovie on a Mac I have at work. Easy to use, quick enough, etc. I'd like to purchase a video editor that I can use on my Dell Studio 15 laptop at home. My dell has an integrated video card, which may not be ideal. I'm trying to avoid buying a new computer for now, but if folks...

Audio editing software: Pro Tools or other?

Thanks for the tips. Helps to know that the other tools I mentioned aren't meant to be stand-alone audio editors. I'll take a look at Logic Studio, in addition to Pro Tools.

Ha! I'll look at Sony Vegas. Adobe MC is still tempting, but I'm not against looking at other options. Several people have suggested Vegas to me.

Whats the "right" amount of thermal paste?

I still use the business card trick after adding a few drops of Arctic Silver. No issues, just be wary like others have said of using too much...

Well actually, I can get the master collection for like $1,200 as a nonprofit via a not-so-well advertised nonprofit program that Adobe offers. That said, I can still split things up so that I get some adobe products for web design and video, then Acid/Reason for sound--that is, if folks here...

Keep at it, buddy. It was a good 10 months after I graduated (12/99) that I got my first permanent job, though I had a 3 month HTML/Internet-searching job for 3 months in the middle of that period. In those 10 months, I got maybe 3-4 interviews with real companies, as opposed to the 50000...

Just bought Transformers: The Movie on DVD. Anyone else like Transformers?
