I started reading Tom's back when I built a K6 200 system. I had a Soyo board at the time, and I had some sort of issue with it and contacted Soyos online support. The Soyo guy that replied pointed me to Tom's site and also hinted my board had a 75 MHz bus, and that I could find out how to use...

Fuzzy image with shadows

The V2 is very sensible to cable lengt and quality. I think the only cure is tp get a hold of an original V2 cable. Isn't there a forum here at anandtech for 2:nd hand stuff? You might find what you are looking for there. Good luck

Please excuse me for jumping into this thread with a different, but somewhat related question, but I feel this is the place to ask :) I have heard that the dot pitch is what limits resolution in an sence, but that you can at times have a higher rez then what the dot pitch would normally allow...

Need your input on strange FSB dilemma (K7 classic)

Forgot to mention: I have tried voltages from 1.6 to 1.85. It does 840 @ 1.65.

OK, I'm trying to get the 8.5 multiplier working here to be able to do the FSB-shuffle (boot up at a high multiplier and low FSB, run a cache proggie to lower the cache speed, and then up the FSB). My L2 can take 800/2 MHz but it's not rock solid at that speed. The system is completely stable at...

How would an Athlon CLASSIC run with the L2 turned off?

Have you tried it with L2 turned on? I think it gave me the same results. The BIOS of the K7M that I have lets me turn off L2 but it doesn't work, as mentioned above, unless you disable L1 as well. I think this is the case with many motherboards. I have been looking in to this for quite some...

OK, I called up their main office and got connected to a technician right away. He told me to look up the serial# and that it might still be under their three year warranty! I dont even need a receipt! He also told med that the Maintenance cable + proogie would not help in this case. I must say...
