I totally agree. There are some very nice Kawasaki Ninja 250s, 500s out there that make great learning bikes also. One thing also, when it comes to gear, I believe in getting the best, it is what protects you. Dress for the crash, not the ride.

Should I live in San Diego, CA after I graduate?

San Diego is the best city in the US, IMHO. I have lived here all my life and work as an EE in Rancho Bernardo, but live in Otay Ranch. It is expensive but well worth it.

Spinner wheels for bikes...

I am a sportbike enthusiast and absolutely hate those. Sportbikes are meant to go fast in turns. Getting lighter wheels is probably the most dramatic improvement you can get for a sportbike. Those stupid and ugly wheels only give extra rotating mass hence drastically decreasing performance, i.e...

What part of the US has the best climate?

Best sport bike for a beginner and short person ?

I actually have a friend who is 5 feet tall and had a GSXR-1000. He dropped it a couple times, but once he got used to it, he rode it like a champ. Unfortunately, it was stolen and he can't afford another one because the dumbass only had liability insurance.

Best sport bike for a beginner and short person ?

If you want to get into sportbikes, any used (older) 600 would be good. Examples would be Honda CBRF3s or F4s, Yamaha YZF600s and Kawasaki ZX6s. Suzuki Katanas are also good bikes :). I mention the previous bikes for their still_good performance and good ergonomics.

Also, I have over 65k miles across 3 sportbikes. I have crashed twice, and luckily I was wearing all my gear. Invest in a good helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots, they will save alot of pain and skin later on. If you can, buy a used bike and learn to work on in, such as doing your own...

Yep, a Ninja 250 is a perfect starter bike. If you drop it, it is easy to pick up. After you are ready for another/bigger bike, it will be easy to sell. I have been riding for 4+ years now and started off on a Honda F3. Take a MSF course and take it slow. Check out this website...

Yeah it pissed me off too. Rice had many chances to acknowledge Tillman's decision to join the military and serve our country, but he has honed in on the fact that he was not a great/good football player. In the end he kinda acknowledged it, but it was too late.
