sorry, could've been clearer - they won't, but if you buy an open box motherboard from microcenter they'll match newegg's open box price, if you buy new they'll match new (or other major online retailers)
I have comcast as well - I saw my 12/2 (more like 9-10/1.5 with speed tests) connection jump to 17/7 sometimes 25/9 when i upgraded to DOCSIS 3, just FYI. This, however, has not reconciled any of my feelings towards comcast and didn't effect real world performance much beyond pings.
price-matched an i3-2100 with frys for 79.99, got an open box asus P8H67-M PRO/CSM for 96 - 40 instant - 25 coupon = 111 + tax :D, gonna try and see if they'll match newegg's $86 today while i find my missing i/o shield
didn't know they were gonna charge me 20 bucks for the post-test though -...
Don't mean to rain on your parade or anything but MC sells the board for $190 - it's only $150 if you got it with the processor in the bundle. So, if you got it for $170 without the processor you got a pretty good deal!
If you read-up on smallnetbuilder and the like, even if you get a 450mb router you're rarely going to bottleneck a Mb connection. That said, good deal, though might as well get the e2000 at a lower price...
Processor is normally $180 at microcenter, which is a steal, so the board will cost you $150 with the combo. Elsewhere the board goes for 175-185, so you're saving a little money, but after taxes ($20) you're paying $350 at microcenter compared to $365-$375 if you were to buy the processor at MC...
I have the big brother (hd-160xt) and, other than the lack of fans and their size, this case is extremely well built and real good looking. Not a lot of space for a larger heatsink and the hard drive tray thing can get in the way of sata connectors if they're on the side like my p55-gd80, but...
I called them on Friday and they said they expected no stock this weekend (obviously now at 10pm) but said that they'll probably run the deal on the next shipment. :)
Frustrating as I was in there Thursday staring at those two for an hour for a server...
Hi, long time non-registered user's first post. Having owned this router purchased from newegg for a year (v1) I can say that this is NOT a hot deal - the gigabit switch works wonderfully but the wireless is real flaky. In an all n network with the router set at 300 the speed would be fine but...
