That is my procedure-I clean the under carriage and the drive wheels also.
I take off the drive wheels and clean them too.Only because my father tends to abuse it a bit--Had to replace the transmission assembly a few years back.
Transmission=Front axle driven by the belt-think of it as a rear...
Possible rock/pebble/sand lodged into one of the serpintine grooves on the belt.
Quick check=Non flamable brake clean or similar --spray the belt to hear if you can get the noise to change.
No leaks? Then you should not need to bleed (If you have leaks then they need to be fixed first).
Your new pads may not be seated yet if you have only driven it a few miles.
Usually scuff up new pads with some sand paper to take out the grinding marks-they seat rather fast, be it new rotors...
Just add a small length of hose and a nipple and connect it as it was, making sure what you added does not contact anything hot.
It seems like the only reason it was designed that way was to keep the hose away from a very hot EGR tube.
Not a nissan tech. but it doesn't appear to sreve any other...
Not sure that I can help, but what year and where is this component located.
It appears that there is 2 wires connected on the left, the third is not used, and and the fourth maybe constant power(as you stated above).
Most ford part numbers have a "z" in there somewhere:)
Think about it- The 02 sensor is a fast acting sensor you see what it is doing at the time.
With the PCM and 02 it senses/sees what is going through the exhaust and at what time ---so it can determine the cylinder that is skipping (starving/flooding).
The computer works fast enough so that...
Your upsteam sensor is located on the rear exhaust manifold (I believe there is only one upstream sensor on your vehicle).
Follow the front exhaust pipe up to where it bolts to the exhaust manifold flange, it should be right there, and it looks just like the one after your c/converter.
Your...
My above P0440 post is for your vehicle.
Before programming
IMPORTANT: Do NOT program an existing control module with the identical software/calibration package. This procedure is not a short cut to correct a driveability condition. This is an ineffective repair. A control module should only...
DESCRIPTION P0440
The EVAP large leak test applies vacuum to the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system and monitors vacuum decay. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor signal to determine the vacuum decay rate. At an appropriate time, the PCM turns the...
You don't need to take off the wheel.
Disconnect batttery negative cable--There are 3 10mm bolts holding on an inspection cover at the starter-once removed I believe 2 15mm hold the starter in place.
Then like a 13mm holding the starter cable an and 11/32 or some such holding the solenoid wire.
The wear indicator does not "pop out" it is there waiting for the pads to get to min. thickness-it is a warning indicator.
Just do a visual:pull the wheels and inspect.
Not true :that is how you check fuel pressure.
KOEO-as ford would say(Key On Engine Off)=X psi
KOER-as ford would say(Key On Engine Running)=X psi
Thatis what the shrader valve is for.
You need a test light or DVOM--Unplug the connector at the fuel pump- you need to see 12volts between the GRY(B) and BLK(C) wire.
(B)+(C) are the pins at the connector.
Test light should light for about 3 seconds when the key is turned on(DVOM should read 12 Vlts.)
While cranking it...
@nicolaskl: This forum is very good at pointing people in the right direction.
Yes, you need to research/verify the information-not everyone is correct.
I find in general the information can be time/money saving.
That right nylock-if it felt good going on then I don't believe you have a problem.
The angle of the picture may just be what makes it look messed up.
There are 2 other bushings on the inner part of that sway bar. Also there are quite a few other bushings under there.
You either pick away at...
A stemed thermometer that is calibrated (in ice water it reads 32 degrees) stuffed in a center vent with all (or only drivers) window(s) cracked less than 1/2 inch should get you about 34 to 40+ depending on your ambient temp.
So if it is 100 out don't expect it to be actually hitting the low 40's.
Snap-on has alwys replaced my screw drivers -even if I used them as a pry bar.
As for sockets, they seem to wear out after a few years of use, but they don't crack like a MAC tends to.
Then again I don't use chrome sockets where an impact is called for.
That is not true at all. If they replace an "O" ring for a couple hours labor they are not going to eat seven hours labor plus parts when the evap. granades.
