Wet cloth used to clean PC

This my concern. My case has vent holes in it, where water could have conceivably dripped in. The PC was powered off at the time though, and appears to be working now. Given that it is currently working, would there be any other causes for concern for damage? Regarding the monitor, it too...

Yes, sadly, this did happen. I just had this vision in my head of the PC going fizzle-pop when I turned on the PC, so I thought I would see what you guys thought before I turned on the switch.

Just got this from ASUS...

Possible HDD damage?

The hard drives are probably fine. To put your mind at ease, you could try running a full Error Scan through HDTune (free trial). Also SpinRite (not free) can do an extensive test on your hard drive, where it reads, writes, reads, writes every sector at a low level to make sure that nothing...

Keep it simple for me...

I upgraded from a Core i5 760 to a Core i5 2500K (both not overclocked), which is perhaps comparable in normalized terms to your OC scenario, and here is what I noticed: - Win7-64 loads a bit faster - Web pages do not load any faster - Have not done any testing on games or any performance...

how necessary is it to install chipset drivers?

I agree with VirtualLarry above. Even Intel describes chipset drivers as primarily just accurate labels for hardware in Device Manager...

Memory voltage, QVL, and stability questions

Thanks Vincent. I have run MemTest for about 5 passes on each individual RAM module, and then overnight on both modules in a dual-channel config. No errors so far. Anything else I need to check, or does the memory seem OK?

I actually rebooted while I was trying to backup the BIOS. Not update it. I don't think the BIOS version actually changed throughout the whole process. It still says 'version 1204' both the main BIOS screen, and the EZ-Flash utility.

I just got an Antec TP-650 power supply today, and when I opened up the package I noticed one outside corner of the box was a bit bashed in. You think I should RMA the power supply? The PS itself seems to be OK inside.

Is a CPU temperature of 69 C going to damage the CPU?

It idles around 22-30 C, depending on how hot the room is. Currently it is running the exact same Prime95 test as before (I haven't actually stopped the test yet), but since the room is cooler the temperatures on the cores are 59-62 C.

Tried to plug in a USB keyboard into an eSATA port...

Hmm. My motherboard manual says "DO NOT insert a different connector to the external SATA port". I interpret this to mean "Do not force a different connector into the eSATA port", right? I mean, if you try to plug in a USB cable into an eSATA port, and it doesn't fit, but you don't force it...

Ack! I was pouring out some 99% isopropyl alcohol near my open PC case (to clean a CPU), and I spilled some on the motherboard and processor. I let everything dry. Is this going to mess up my PC?

PC powers off and on during reboot

Mobo SB_PWR LED stays on when computer unplugged

Thanks for all the replies. I finally figured out what was causing the light. It turns out I had a powered USB hub plugged into one of the USB ports, and that was generating enough power to light the SB_PWR LED. I had no idea a USB hub generated that much voltage. Hopefully I didn't fry...
