Hiya guys, I'm having some pretty servere frustrations with my intel lan controller on my p8p67 deluxe main board. Quite simply put, it's not working, I can move the ethernet cable to the realtek controller and it works fine. So what i'm wondering is there any way at all to troubleshoot or...
Thats actualy a defect that the earlier models share. You can go to their website and send an rma request for a new linear fan controller if you would like. Their customer service is top notch in my humble opinion.
I have built 4 sb systems 2 using asus boards and 1 each gigabyte and msi. The msi board impressed me the most from a cost to features point of view and gave no trouble at all (the gigabyte was also very nice.) Can't say that for the asus boards, they gave me fits.
Who on this earth would be concerned about playing Brink regardless of fps. That game is the letdown of a lifetime, and anyone who ever attends quakecon knows what an nvidia circle jerk looks like, so no real surprise here.
They replaced my p8p67 deluxe last week no questions asked, they didn't even look inside the box and they insisted on replacing the CPU as well. I was a very very pleased customer!
My asus p8p67 deluxe has been freezing at the asus logo screen randomly since sp1 windows update. It's not a new b3 version as micro center still doesn't have the replacements.
I'm seriously thinking about giving that sapphire board a go when they start to hit the market. I believe I read that the team designing boards for sapphire is a group that left EVGA to work on sapphire's new board program.
also i'm a little sad they aren't still white.
I am under the impression that the only p67 boards that offer x16/x16 are those equipped with the nividia nf200 chip of which the asus p8p67 ws revolution is the cheapest at 269. However I also wont rule out the possibility that I am totally and completely wrong.
Wow yeah I just looked them up and I would not have imagined the HAF series to weigh that much. I am so not going to volunteer to help any of you guys move.
If your coming from a Lian Li in my humble opinion anything else will be a let down, I'd personally wait and see what new cases they have to show at CeBITT in two weeks.
On a side note i just took my sandy bridge build out of my corsair 800D and stuck it into my four year old 99$ lian li pc-7b...
I've been running mine at 1.65v since they launched on jan 9 with no issues whatsoever and the guys at the mushkin forum assured me that the memory specs for Sandy Bridge are exactly the same as for any other i3/i5/i7.
If you want you can use a 3.5 to 5.25 adapter so you can mount the usb box in the drive bays, thats what i did on my 800D. I'm very happy with how it turned out the adapter is made my silverstone.
I live in Texas where we very commonly have temps in the low 100s and on my old phenom rig the h50 would simply not keep it cool in the summer. My idle temps would range from low to mid 30s and spike up to around 45 to 48c in the summer. I have no doubt that these are great coolers but around...
I'm mainly just wondering if you guys thinks it's safe to turn on xmp profiling in the bios and run my dominator ram at its advertised 1600 speed setting with a voltage of 1.6 compared to the default of 1.5V?
So i supposed to rephrase that it is safe to run ram in sandy bridge boards at 1.6v...
I've always used amd before, I built a sandy bridge when my old pc went down because lets face it amd has really dropped the ball as of late, so if performance is decent I will for sure be giving bulldozer a shot. Although I may wait until it's been on the market a few months before taking that...
So now after two weeks of almost flawless operation this recent news forced me to swap my ssd and spindle drive to the Intel sata3 6gbs ports and now it posts the asus screen twice anytime it boots up. This is the first time I've encountered this and I updated the bios to 1204 to hopefully...
I'm sorry for the bad pics my camera is a real pos and I can't disable the flash, but here's my new love! And yes those are pink cat5 cables;)
sitting on a board with pink cables just spells class around here!
Yes the difference this driver made is very impressive I am very very glad i was directed to this website. And also a question for bankster55 you mentioned that these ssd's should be running with an offset of 2048k instead of 1024k is there any way to change this to the correct setting? And...
Ok well I finally got home and was able to try a few things out and while I have yet to figure out how to install that new Intel AHCI driver I did move the sata cables all to the intel sata 2 ports and that worked it will now allow me to boot into windows with both hdd's installed. I'm not sure...
Its a western digital caviar black wd1002faex sata 6gbs.
the intel desktop/workstation/server express chipset sata ahci controller has this listed as its driver version 10.0.0.1046.
Ill go ahead and plug it all into the sata 2 ports and see what that does, and I really appreciate the help.
Sorry i should have included this in the original post.
windows 7 home premium 64 bit
AHCI mode using the intel express chipset sata ahci controller
the corsair force90 ssd and plextor dvd drive are plugged into a sata 2 intel port(these are viewable in bios)
while the 6gbs wdcb hdd is...
I've been having my fair share of boot issues with my p8p67 deluxe as well. I had one very similar to your but i was able to change boot priority in the boot tab of the eufi. Now my computer simply will not load windows if it has more than one hdd in it. I've had great luck with asus over the...
I am having a problem since upgrading to 1253 bios on my p8p67 deluxe and it goes like this. I run a 90 gig corsair ssd as a boot drive and a 1tb wdcb as a data drive and since the bios update if I leave both hard drives hooked up it will not boot past the starting windows screen and if i remove...
