I've been running my ASrock P67 Professional since january 2011 with an i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz flawlessly. Before I was a little bit hesitant towards ASrock but this one has proven itself.

Im assuming you talk about the 'Intel Core i5-650'? I would say it is a fairly weak processor for todays games.
Apparently the X-Fi cards have better spatial hearing than all the later chips. And especially, I wouldnt dump an Elite Pro for anything in the world.
I remain very sceptical towards surround headsets regardless.
Also I would stay far away from "gaming" brand headsets, especially Razer's audio...
You will enjoy double the frame rate in many games. In terms of actual gaming experience I dare say it will feel more than twice as good in many games, if it is possible to quantify that.

It might be a safety feature built into the motherboard which senses temperature. This to minimize 'wear and tear' on solder joints and/or capacitors (swelling/shrinking). This might apply to other type of components, Im not certain.

I think I've read every anand CPU and GPU review since the era of Pentium III and Voodoo 3, and all the good stuff from that very exciting point in history of 3D graphics.
I used to play CSGO with a Radeon 6870 1GB, and it could run 1080p with max settings and 4x MSAA and maintain way above 128+ fps at all times. (CPU was a Core i7 2600).
You should have no problem finding a card today with similar performance or better for fairly cheap.
I would say the soundblaster have much better sound quality. And the drivers work well, I never had a problem.

So my first would then be GeForce2 MX, and I had the PCI-version since my PC did not have an AGP-port.
Those temps sound pretty low. What cooler are you using and what games did you play? Are those really max temps during gaming, or temps a moment after exiting the game?
