How many laws do we really need?

I was just thinking about the thousands of laws that exist in the USA. How is it tenable to have that many? Are that many really necessary? Maybe its time to go through and simplify. What are you thoughts? How many laws should there be?

Thunderbolt for Internal Devices as well?

I recall seeing 9 ns end to end thrown around. Take it with a grain of salt. It would have to be one drive per cable with only having 10W though. Cut down on one cable per drive, but if they could pull 40W per cable then I could see this really taking off.

Teacher layoff by seniority or ability

In a perfect word it would be by ability. I take issue with tenure and unions for that fact. Should some industries be regulated when safety is at stake? Yes, they should and that is why OSHA exists. Other than that why not let your pay reflect your ability. I'm all for merit based everything...

Will Mr Gingrich's multiple marriages be issues in the 2012 GOP POTUS nomination?

I was unaware of the circumstances of Mr. Gingrich's previous marriages. Certainly, that doesn't speak well for his sense of ethics. I don't particularly agree with Gingrich on most topics, but I won't discount hearing him out based on that alone. Good ideas can come from crazy places.

Well I knew they would find a way to indoctrinate children.......

In my experience, people all make mistakes in their life. I think it will be brought up as an issue if they choose to run, however, I believe there are things that just aren't fair game and a person's family and friends are some of those things. I'd like to see candidates keep it to those items...
