i noticed that there is a hidden partition
of around 270MB on this Walmart.com notebook.
i wonder what is in there and if it is safe
to erase that partition and merge the empty space
with the existing system partition.
has anybody done that?

Right now, the CPU Fan is not working.
The CDRom power is on, BUT if i connect the IDE cable
to the CDROM, power goes off.
The same with HDDs.
Is the motherboard dead?

How do i set the jumper settings if i want the
external bus frequence to be 133MHz instead of
100MHz? I checked the ASUS website and only
up to 112MHz jumper setting is displayed there.

I have an old P2B MB hardware rev 1.05 at hand. I did some
research and found out that I can either use up to PIII Kamai 600 MHz
or use a slocket to run Coppermine at up to 800MHz( at risk
since the voltage difference).
My question: is P2B + Kamai 600 OC-able?

the driver.
but it does have some problem with paper
feeding though.
sometimes several sheets of paper come out
at the same time :-(
you can install
winme with setup option /nr.
boot with a floppy (win98 or 98SE)
at DOS prompt:
setup /nr
(this option is not listed when
you type
setup /?)
and the boot records will not go to
MBR and the repair of Win2K is saved.
