i3-2100k is a nice all around processor, 8gb memory will keep you solid a good couple years, and the board will provide you room for upgradibility. Also you will take advantage of the integrated graphics built into the cpu.

I have another account here that I haven't used in years, forgot the password and use a different ISP so my email address is different now. I sent an email to the webmaster with my concerns and never heard back. If someone can PM me about this so I can get this corrected, it would be greatly...
o_Oo_Oo_O
All this advice we gave you and you buy the wrong motherboard and a better processor that is completely useless for that board. Unsubscribed.
Hearing that Battlefield 3's recommendation is 4gb.
I think 4gb is peaking the limits these days especially since a clean install of Windows 7 eats up 1gb idle and I am sure when SP1 is installed, it will use more. Videocards seldom fluctuate in price due to memory costs but if RAM spikes to...
OK, scratch what I said above. But I hope you didn't order 2x2gb of ram on a 2 slot motherboard. You will be forced to replace all your ram if/when you need to upgrade. Make sure your Optical drive is SATA or it won't work on your new motherboard.
Onboard sound is plenty sufficient.
I just don't think suggesting 4gb of memory on a motherboard with 2 slots would be a good idea for future upgrades. I found a solution here with 8gb of memory still, and 4 slots for expandability.

I was thinking more along the lines of future proofing his other components. RAM is likely due for a dramatic price increase which means he might be paying 100 just for a stick of 4gb memory in the future. Then he will have a slightly slower processor that would bottleneck him next. Just like...
Did this based on your preference and budget. I am no 'junior' at this I have been on this forum for years as well as a former mod in many other forums. This seems to give you an "all around" bang for your buck, plus it will last if built properly ;)

Well, my page file is on the secondary HDD, and when it BSOD, the bios hung for about 10 seconds after I hit the reset button. Then it booted to windows and warned me that it created a temporary page file. I went into "my computer" and the 1tb drive was not there. I restarted again and no go. I...
I had a strange issue when I was overclocking my new system. I am 100% stable at 100x42 4.2ghz @ 1.24v. I decided to get brave since my temps are decent and increase the speed to 4.5ghz @ 1.28v. 5 minutes of prime 95, the system bluescreens but my 2nd harddrive comes up missing!
I shut the...
I noticed you have an MSI board. It seems typical that the MSI boards read a little higher than the others. A little more time may tell as they populate through the forums. My temps on a Cooler Master Hyper TX2 with a 2500k at stock are 41c-43c at idle. I reseated my heatsink twice and checked...
I checked on Antecs website and it said that my system would consume a max of 340 watts. I figured it woluld be enough but oh well. $15 more, it was worth it. Sorry I am using my phone to type this.
I got the Rosewill for $49 with Free ship.. I get these E-blasts every day with coupons. I read a couple good reviews online that said that this is a solid PSU. Rosewill uses various manufacturers for their different models and some are good and some aren't so good... Just have to watch which...
Ok,
I ordered a 630watt. I know this isn't the best PSU in the world but it should do and it has decent reviews. Newegg was able to waive my restock fee and give me a shipping label on the old unit :D

Hi all,
This really isn't my first post :) I just cannot access my old account for some reason, says the password is wrong and I cannot find the email I used. My username is actually SLK.
On to the subject..
I just purchased everything for my new system build, and surprisingly, I was an AMD...
