It's been 5 years and wondering if you still have it on your car? I'm wondering if the orange peel spray pattern is just part of the "cure time" since most most of your responses was over a short time of a few days while it could take a week to fully cure. I'm considering doing this to a new...
It use to bother me that my potential S.O. may have had sex with someone else but as I grew into my 20s, I knew that type of thinking in US society was extremely naive.
On the bright side my wife and I are each others first. Got around the issue by getting them young muhahahahha
I loved the aliens...well, at least the high-tech feel that the alien section produced. Plus I've always been a sci-fi lover so that is another aspect about myself that really made love Crysis. I will agree that the gameplay itself was a lot more annoying and I preferred fighting the human...
Adding more RAM can slow down your system slightly in terms of extra latency and each stick can be the equivalent of another hard drive in terms of power consumption.
Wouldn't that also disable my other mechanical drives from going to sleep or is there a way to set a single drive to just never shut off. In either case I tried it and didn't help.
Still been meaning to try to the Intel RST drivers.
I have stuttering on my 256GB C300 on a eVGA X58 SLI (ICH10). I've tried both the MSAHCI and the Intel RST drivers, with the Intel one's getting more stutter. The stuttering did go away when I disabled the Windows flush write cache feature though so that definitely helped my specific case of...
I wonder how they're going to drop prices when manufacturing reaches physical limitations. Its why I'm jumping on an SSD now rather than in 2013 or so.
They seem to be going for $200 on sale quite often, so maybe not this week but next week! I picked up the 256 GB model for $385 myself @ SSD Solutions:

It came with all the warranty stickers and manual just no retail box so I would...
$200 @ Superbizz...
Debating jumping on 2 due to all this proclaiming love for RAID. Do you lose trim support if you go RAID on SSD's? Any other feature losts?
You probably would want the coupon code as well:

Would getting a Micron drive preclude us from using the same Firmware/support that the Retail C400's will be receiving? I don't want to get a drive where if issues arise I would have to go through special channels to get support that would otherwise be widely available in the public.
I was thinking something with the link states, like the PCI-E power saving features but if it happens when there is a lot of programs running then its probably something else. I would look SSD drivers/write cache stuff.
Thank you for this amazing posts. I was arguing this very topic about a year ago with a friend especially since California electricity prices are so high! I pay on average about $0.17/kWh @ 600 kWh/month. At additional usage in my current Tier 4 is about $0.23/kWh, and $0.30/kWh after that. This...
I was looking at that card however it it only only a X1 card which means maximum 500 MB/sec theoretical throughput....
I've heard rumors that the Marvell controllers aren't properly passing TRIM commands? Is that true?
*Edit*
Reading the Newegg reviews, one of the users reports its also far...
Been using Buy.com since my very first video card (a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP :D), and been pretty happy with them in terms of support.
Although they could not cancel my order to purchase a Crucial C300 instead, they did offer me the chance to refuse shipment or return it with no restocking fee...
I'm going to have to agree with Bauss that Intel's legendary lead in reliability has to due with their extensive in-house testing regardless of their component sourcing.
@Burner27: How is your C300 connected to your system? SATA Controller type? Motherboard? 3/6Gbps?
I'm hearing that the...
I think it is unfair to simply say never use it. I find the reviews/percentage breakdowns to be rather useful especially if there are > 20 reviews.
Now I would suggest to NEVER use it as the ONLY decision maker, but rely on other sources as well (reviews/forums etc.). Obviously our topic...
The problem for me is that the drive will be in a dual usage case where both sequential read and random performance matter. It will be an OS drive with game installs. As I understand it games are primarily sequential reads in practice so I could see the difference in load times.
In addition...
I've been in the same boat and jumped on the Buy.com deal as well earlier today. I'm just hoping I did not make the wrong decision.
As this is currently for my gaming desktop, I would prefer lots of space and am thinking if the 256 GB Crucial would've been a lot better choice. However I would...
