I'm looking for a backup solution for a laptop (Dell) with between 3 and 10G. Are there any good solutions out there? Right now I'm sending a backup over a wireless LAN....very slow. How about a Zip disk? CDRW? What's a good way to go?

I have a Dell laptop (pent III based) running Win98. When I tell it to "shut down" it goest into "restart" mode. . .except it believes it was shut down incorrectly and runs ScanDisk. This started after I installed Norton AV 2002. No other problems have been noted.
Help if you have any...
You know, he knew the dangers of the sport he played. Death was a real possibility. Yes, it's sad he died, but in my opinion it was his own fault (as someone else stated, he was KNOWN for bumping other drivers). \
Uhhhh. . . and you have a point? Who cares who's fault it was, I feel for his...
1 - The rebate center told me they WOULD NOT honor Comp USA's 2 per househould limit. . .that is a CompUSA issue.
2 - CompUSA in Albuquerque is providing refunds for the purchase and tax of the second stick. . .charging 1 cent for some accounting reason which is fine by me. I'd strongly...
Here's the question of the day. Since the T-Bird has been out for a while now, if you used the pencil trick to connect the bridges. . . how long have you operated overclocked with it?
I've been going just eight weeks, and am wondering if the electrical connection degrades over time.
I upgraded from an Athlon 500 @ 750 to a T-bird because I was using the solderless cache kit on my GFD, and I couldn't keep the leads hot glued. I was moving around a bit and the combo of heat and vibration would shake them too much. Although the GFDs were fun to play with--I'm glad to be back...
I'm sure he would not ask unless it was important.
You have more faith than I do. However, I don't mind doing a favor for the site. I'm still pissed that I can't use my AOL account to maintain an account.
<< I?m sure the guys and gals who make the Golden Orb have spent many a hour testing fan direction >>
You'd think so wouldn't you. Be interesting to find out what the result is. Maybe DO95 can let us know.
Depends on how much money you have. If you can throw dollars at it, upgrade the ps, never know how much problem unstable power will based on the fans. It may not be a factor, so if you don't want to burn the bucks see if you have stability problems and try a ps swap later if it seems...
Thanks! I've been looking for a chair. This is as good as the deals I've found lately, and with the coupon I got an ink cartradge to boot. :D Much appriciated.
OK, In my case I had a USB printer working fine. One day it just gave up the ghost and the USB hasn't recognized the printer since. HOWEVER, it recognizes my USB joystick. Go figure. The only thing I can figure is maybe a bad cable.
