I might be stepping on some toes here, but isn't the 7950 better for your budget? There's almost a sure-fire way to overclock the 7950 to 7970 speeds and save yourself $100.
Careful with some 7970's as they are voltage locked.

If these motherboard features are as good as they sound, they might have a winning product here if the price is right. If they could come at a sub-$200 price tag, it would be a nice deal.

You're right in terms of multi-monitor setups. There is no argument about that. But I think we're getting a little off what the TC has here which is a single 120hz monitor, 1080p monitor. He'll need 2GB vram at the most, 3GB for a few games like like Metro 2033 on a single monitor.

Way to know your Diablo 3 infrastructure bro.. Diablo 3's stuttering isn't because of Nvidia Drivers. It's the MPQ files. There's a hotfix for it that absolves 50-80% of the stuttering.
Basically, the game is fetching data to your hard drive in small packets... causing the stuttering...
Well, I'm using an MSI Z77A-G43. Not a great Bios for extreme-overclocking. But @ $100, it's a steal. It overclocks decently from my personal experience and desirable overclock of 4.0GHz (i5-2500k). I haven't tried to push it more because i'm simply lazy at the moment.. tired..
Back up data or create a mirror image.. and do a fresh install? I know it's an arduous task and time consuming but it's a shot. I did the same last night and now I'm running free and clean.. no more BSOD's, no crazy bat-sh*t unexplain-ables..
How could you recommend an 8120 and 8150 to him when he could get an i5-2500k for $20 more? The i5-2500k stomps on any of the FX-cpu's.

Haha.. real world performance the FX 4100 and 4170 are terrible CPU's. I would know, I had both at one time or another. Basically, they did not last long with me because who would keep them.
Zambezi is a complete fail.
When I had my GTX 460 1GB (Gigabyte), I was able to get it up to 840/2050 on stock voltage. I wish I messed with some voltage overclocking before I sold it though.
I can only see this being good for GTX 580 sli setups with triple-monitor or a 30-inch screen. Those are usually the people that have money to blow anyways. Obviously, it's their money. Have fun.
I'm glad you went with the GTX 560ti. You're better off gaming at 1080p. If you guys want to get all technical. It might be 8% more than 16x12, but 1080p in actual viewing is like night and day. But argue it all you want.
