    Look up at the spec of smart TVs and smart phones. With only 1GB ram they run it like a breeze. My TV start to choke a little at around 100mbps so you should be good at 2Gb. Oh, I forgot, I played HEVC 4K videos with HD7870 just fine ( OFC not hardware accelerated ).

    I don't expect it, but if Intel would release 6c/6t i5 I would buy this over AMD ( and I am AMD fan ). i7 was always beyond my buyng power and perceived worthiness. If i5 remain 4c garbage even with ht, I will go Ryzen 2.

    I can also connect with TV in 4K30 with HD7870 and HDMI 1.4. You need to check your driver and select proper settings.

    It is known that Win 8 scheduler does better job for core affinity on AMD than Win 7 ( in this case CPU gets great penalty ). That and very likely different drivers and there you have it.

    Unity don't support dx12 yet. It's still in beta at least to v5 and maybe get delayed to a point release. They support Apple's Metal as of Unity 4.6.3 and the game Republique is upgraded to it.

    For the stuff i use, Haswell is 30% faster on the same clock than Ivy that i currently have. If Skylake improve by 10% over Hw, than it's nice upgrade for me. I'll definitely upgrade.

    For PC gaming there is no real need for upgrading 2500k. But if you emulate console games Haswell is absolutely worth every dollar. 20% for ps2 emulation and more than 30% for wii on the same clock. Also ps3 emulator is expected to be functional this year.
