What's z68 going to get me?

Most Gigabyte Z68 motherboards don't seem to support Virtu (i.e. no iGPU video ports - no Virtu). Only the models listed here seem to do so: Z68X-UD3H-B3 Z68A-D3H-B3 Z68MX-UD2H-B3 Z68MA-D2H-B3 And those all have video out. The only Z68 motherboard I know of (and I don't know them all) that...

Well after reading reviews of the ASRock Z68 Extreme4 and a few ASUS P8Z68-V Pro. I also watched some videos on the Gigabyte Z68 boards on NewEgg. I ordered the ASRock board. Wish me luck! :D

According to the manuals the UD4 and UD7 both include 2 x Marvell chips (88SE9172 on UD4, 88SE9128 on the UD7). They both show 2 internal SATA 6 Gb/s and 2 eSATA 6 Gb/s under the 2 x Marvell chip section and make no mention of internal ports being disabled when the eSATA ports are used...

What's z68 going to get me?

The wait is two days, so not much cost, really. Unless you need to upgrade now! (darn it) What it gets you is: Ability to use Built-in Graphics (on boards that expose it, some don't). Useful if your 6950 dies and you have no other video card to swap in while it's being replaced or fixed. Or...

If you zoom in on that image, you can just make out that it reads GA-P67A-UD7. Also there is this lovely blurb on the store page for that motherboard that reads: The picture on the store for the UD4 seems accurate as it shows the GA-Z68X-UD4 box sitting next to the motherboard.

In my earlier thread I postulated that because the UD4 didn't have video ports, it probably couldn't use Virtu, but according to this story the new ASUS Z68 boards, one of which doesn't have video ports, all support Virtu. So maybe the Gigabyte boards do too. And yes, need reviews please. :D

Z68 vs P67 Discrete Graphics Performance?

I know the Z68 motherboards aren't generally available but I am hoping for some insight based on people's experience with H67. I am upgrading my PC by replacing everything except the displays, keyboard, mouse and hard disk drives. I have all of the components except CPU (arrives in two days)...
