[rant] Starbucks drive thru sucks

IMO drive through is meant for small orders, one or two coffees, maybe a donut. When you start ordering a sandwich or things that need to be toasted, etc., go inside and order it. I don't really feel bad for the OP waiting 15 mins in line, it sounds to me like whining (not ranting).

Why do people bother to paint their houses brwon?

I have nice neutral colors in my house, none of which are brown, and not a single white wall or ceiling. My house was built in the late 20's so it has an 8' long galley pantry off the kitchen w/wainscotting on one side so very little wall space, and I painted that a crazy bright orange to match...

Be careful when selecting a realtor to represent your home.

Facepalm!!! I'm a REALTOR, and in some ways I absolutely agree (of course I'm one of the good ones!) but I get so frustrated seeing the work of others and their listings. Some of the agents can't be bothered to take pictures, or they put them in the MLS sideways. They use the wrong zip codes...

my cat is an awesome hunter this was neat to see: and even after it was dead....he spent no less than 2 hours playing with it, dropping it on one side of a lilac bush, going around to the other side and attacking it over and over again.

My cats are a ton of fun...the best entertainment. One is food driven and will eat anything, i can't leave food out or he will break into it. The fact that he is amazingly handsome makes up for it a little. Especially when i find him looking sweet like this....

Slow Cooker - not impressed. doing it wrong?

Yeah, I haven't used my slow cooker in a couple years (it just doesn't seem worth it when you live alone), but suddenly I am dying to use it!!!! I'll have to invite some people over for dinner. Thanks for the inspiration!

Interviewing while employed

I don't believe that is stealing time and money at all. Sick days are a benefit, and a portion of your overall salary and benefit package. If an employer offers sick days, you should be able to take them for whatever reason you deem appropriate. Especially if they aren't paying out for sick time...
