Are you sure the HR department checked thoroughly where he had his degree from? >.<... sounds like it came from a vending machine... Our IT department actually lets us install extra RAM and SSD's our self (if we are ok with it) under the general assumption that "Most developers can do that"...

The common price/performance metric we often see discussed is a little pointless from a larger perspective though, instead the performance/watt is much more interesting... That would have to be full system usage though and not just the CPU isolated... (Skylake-X is not a shining example in that...

Nope, apparently 4x16 (64) GB kits is not in stock anywhere (locally), I guess they don't sell to many of those >.<... So unless I order abroad I have to wait :(... I can find the board at one other dealer, it would cost more though but depending on the answer from where I ordered on how fast...

Well when you give you video the title "The X299 VRM Disaster" ... Then you have kind of already set out on what the focus is, so perhaps that is partly his own fault... It is a shame that it hasn't evolved in a constructive way though, and instead ended in people throwing mud back and forth...

Obviously the cache helps out, but for AS SSD I don't see an option to increase the area it spans over, I am not sure how it works but I assume it creates one big file and then accesses random locations in that file for 4KB of data?... In any case, with 1GB Cache on the card it would require...

With the new upcoming RevoDrive 3 series it looks like we are moving a step closer meaning that OCZ is pushing TRIM support into those cards, and since they are essentially just raided SSD disks then I guess trim for raids is a step closer. That said it may take long before companies like LSI...

Hmmm.... I Do have an Intel Disk, maybe I should try there Disk Data Migration tool as it is provided by Acronis, it really made the swap at work extremely easy, and as far as the statement, all it says is that it needs a Intel disk in the system... Would also be far more easy, so will...

I think you misunderstood that a bit, we are not talking "moving the disks" but using Image backups like Norton Ghost, Acronis or the built in system image for Windows 7. (I Have the ultimate edition). So the Raid array won't be maintained, the partitions will however. I did the same thing when...
