Usually threads aren't this dead on weekends. After looking back over anand's review I am considering the 3000+ as though I seem to recall reading a bad review(can only read so many before brain sizzles) they performed well.

Heh just noticed that at: https://aac.avnet.com/AMDstore/index.jsp 2800s are only $266 which is 74$ less than what newegg was selling htem for earlier today and $96 less than what anand's Weekly CPU & Memory had them listed for last. It is 11$ higher than newegg is offering refurbed for. Hrm...

should I use the onboard Ethernet LAN port or the PCI Ethernet card?

Hrm, I have always thought crucial was top notch? Mine is set in jumper free mode works fine and i think is default but if not it is 10X1333 I believe.

Sound Card

Does anyone know if there is a problem with the A7M266 and Sblive? I had sbl ordered then canceled it after reading the horrendous problems that go on with via and sbl. Then someone posts that the santa cruz causes a perforamnce hit when gaming. UGH. Now ready to cancel the Tb and reorder a sblive.

Best videocard that plays Tribes 2 good that is under 100 dollars??

What is involved at running 2.5 at 2.0? Simply setting it to 2.0 bios? Is there instances where the rated 2.5 will do 2.0 but not as well as as rated 2.0 or is it an issue of do it or not?
