I there a utility to display which Via 4in1 drives are installed.

I have looking for the past few days. Trying to find out which Via drivers I have currently installed in Windows 2000 which work great. I was planning to try out some of the newer versions, but if they don't work properly it would be useful to know the current drivers to swith back to. Thanks.

Windows 98, Invalid System Disk error.

Problem Solved...:) Took less than 10 mins and I did not have to reinstall any OS. Norton Utilities is now Uninstalled from Win98.

How do I get the Nvidia Chameleon Demo to run?

Every time I double-click on "Chameleon.exe" in Windows 2000/XP to run the program, a Command Prompt box opens with the message "The program is too big to fit in memory". I suppose I could have had an error during the download, I used Getright.

sohcrates, I had a brief look at mounting a 80mm fan on my SK6 but it did not seem possible. How can it be done (without the use of an adapter) as the high CFM 60mm fans are too loud for me. Any pictures would be welcomed.

what does qttask.exe do?

I appeared in my Proccess after startup after I also installed the Quicktime patch. I just deleted the entry in the Registry that loaded the program on startup. Quicktime works fine without it.

A full clean install that is, not an upgrade, I would like to keep Win98. I currently have 2 hd's, Win98 on C: and Win2000 on D:, no partitions on drives. Either that or will I need to obtain a program to partition one of my drives, probably D: Thanks in advance.

Installing WinXP Beta on Win98/Win2K Dual Boot.

I have a dual boot setup with Windows98 and Windows2000 on 2 seperate hard drives, no partitions. If I want to keep the current setup, will I need to partition one of the drives to install XP, and if it works is it easy to delete XP when the final version is released. Thanks in advance.

Lol, thanks psycholic, there was no Sound Event specified for "Exit Windows", so I set it to play the Windows Logoff Sound. Should work now, when I eventually ShutDown tonight that is.:D

There is sound when starting Win2K but there should also be sound when shutting down (I came across both files whilst exploring). Mine does not play when shutting down, does anyones. Please, no comments on the fact that they never shut down Win2K.

Win2K Pagefile setup question.

I have setup my swapfile to 320MB (min and max). Yet when I check in SisSoft Sandra and DxDiag it shows as 493MB, giving me a total of 685MB (including 192MB ram), strange. Using Disk Defrag/Analyze it does show the size of the pagefile as 320MB. Can anyone explain.

Software Installation on a dual-boot Win98SE/Win2K setup.

Yes, you can install software in both OS's into the same path on your HD. This was way the software only takes up the place of one installation and the important thing is that the registry is updated for both Windows98 & 2000.
