With two of these 160GB 7200.9 units in a RAID-0 setup, we see that the operations per second increase about 55%. We performed this test as a brief look at how RAID affects performance...and to prove to the skeptics that...

What i really want to know is can you get blazing disk access by building a RAID 0 config across 3 disks or more...
Second question: Does anyone out there have any experience with using RAID 0 across more than 2 disks? (3-disk....4-disk RAID 0 configuration?). I understand that the risk of system failure goes up if a disk goes bad, but how much gain in performance can you get by using a multi-disk (i.e., more...
I did that for demo, i dont even use it as raid 0, i have a large raid system and i do demo benches for people that likes to know what config may look like

I have 2 notebook with 1920x1200 on the 15.4" screen
one is 128mb and the other is 64. Both are outdated by now.. But the 128mb one performed much better.
Yes but its all minimal gains. I have 7 drive array in RAID 0, I done from 2 to 7 RAID 0s and each time it goes up by a few percent.. not like triple or quadruple...
ghost (enterprise) supports command line.. i written scipts to boot from disk and dump the image. of course it was OS only so the parition was small.. if you have data on it.. copy to another drive using software would do...

If you dont mind losing your data once a while when the drive dies.. then its perfectly fine..
weird, anand had a 7200.9 article on before.. it show raid 0 performance..
Laser should not be plug into ups... or even on the same outlet..
i think laser start up draw a lot of power.. thats what i was told.. someone here sohuld know..
I'm assuming your psu is 430w off ur model ?
Would you put your speakers on power or just surge ? Some models has surge only or UPS + surge. so i'm assuming
PC - UPS
Monitor - UPS - CRT or LCD ?
External HDD - UPS
SPeaker - Surge Only ?
http://www.bigbruin.com/reviews05/article.php?item=seagateprt&file=1 - this looks interesting.. 5400.3.. i have the hitachi 60 tk60 & 80 tk100, both 7200 rpm.
are those the hdd offered or you're buying your own ?
I got both.. APC Smart UPS 1500 and Belkin 1000 ones..
APC has 8 outlet all on UPS, the belkin has 6 but 4 on UPS.. but they're like 2 years old now..
just read the manual before buying to make sure its enough..
EDIT: Belkin was the Universal UPS 1000VA
i didn't edit my message only the title.. basically i wanted to show my friends that that blog stuff was bs and you can hide hidden pics on the normal picture.. but the idea is the same.
