Question about DMZ and Port Forwarding

Yup! I'm forwarding the port to my Ipad 2 IP Address and still no luck. I'm starting to conclude that my cheap D-link router is the cause of my woes. I'll probably upgrade my router to something higher end. Any suggestions?

Question about DMZ and Port Forwarding

I'm using a DLINK DIR-601. I've gone under the port forwarding section and enabled port 5223 with the TCP setting. I've also tried to forward all ports 1-65223 with no luck. I'm suspecting my router is just crap, which is why I can't get push notifications.

Question about DMZ and Port Forwarding

I have to enable DMZ with my iPad 2 in order to receive push notifications from messenger clients. However, Only one device can be on DMZ and both my brother and I have iPads now. Is there anyway I can port forward ALL ports so that it essentially acts as another DMZ zone? I tried to port...

    iPAD 2 Push Notifications Help!!!

Let me know how that goes. Its actually worked perfectly for me using DMZ. I just dont like the fact that if I go to my gf's place, i'll have to put my ipad on DMZ on her network. Her android tablet doesn't have any notification issues, lol

    iPAD 2 Push Notifications Help!!!

I'm not sure if its a problem with the apps or with apple services. Because when i changed the DMZ setting in my router to allow access for the iPad everything seems to work. However, I can't get notifications at the gf's place unless i change her router setting. I don't want to have to change a...

    iPAD 2 Push Notifications Help!!!

My IM+ barely works with push notifications. I think I might just sell my iPad and move to android tablet. I haven't had any problems with my gf's tablet on my network although the frame rate between switching windows is much slower. I hope apple fixes the push notifications soon

    iPAD 2 Push Notifications Help!!!

I'm always on Wi-fi as well, but I think the problem lies within the router settings. I've used a galaxy tablet 10.1 on my network and notifications work perfectly. Something that apple does doesn't allow notifications to work properly unless you enable your device for DMZ. This way it will give...

    iPAD 2 Push Notifications Help!!!

Recently, I just bought a new iPad 2 and have noticed that my push notifications work maybe 10% of the time. I use apps like Yahoo Messenger and IMO messenger and the messages only go through 10% of the time. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm on the latest OS version, with all notifications...

Core i5 2500k Temperature Difference Amongst Cores

I've built this about 3 months ago, using Artic Silver 5 and corsair A50 heat sink. I've reseated it about 3 times with the same results. Core 2 consistently shows 10-12C higher then core 0. Should I be concerned this may cause long term damage?

Core i5 2500k Temperature Difference Amongst Cores

Can someone please tell me if a 10-12 degrees Celsius temperature difference is normal between cores? I'm currently at Core 0 - 30C Core 1 - 24C Core 2 - 33C Core 3 - 21C Is this Normal? If I overclock, I think that one core would also sky rocket in temperature:S

Wow! So many helpful responses :D Crap Daddy: Thats the thing though, I'd like to understand what all this stuff means. Afterall, all the guru's in this form will have to train us noobies so we can help out future generations :) I've OC'd my cpu to 4.0 Ghz (which runs 24/7) but I think I...

    Help Overclocking the Corei5 2500k

guskline: I have a MSI P67A-C43 motherboard. I'm not a big fan of it since the onbard audio came with a hissing sound but if I were to RMA it, i'd probably have to wait a month so I think i'll just deal with that. As for my OC problem, i Cleared the CMOS and everything was back to normal...

    Help Overclocking the Corei5 2500k

Hi Zap, I did what you said and only played with the multiplier at first. After setting it to x40, Vcore was at 1.35V, which I thought was too much for just 4Ghz, so i reduced it to 1.30V. These were the only two settings I touched. Now when I revert things back to default (by setting...

    Help Overclocking the Corei5 2500k

Hey guys! Okay so I read the the link, changed the multiplier (x40) and the vcore setting (1.300V) and then did a stress test with prime using small FFT. Everything seemed to be stable (no error or BSOD). However, i decided to go back to default settings so I changed my multiplier to x33 and...

    Help Overclocking the Corei5 2500k

Thanks everyone! So all I have to do is set the multiplier to x40 and i'll be good? I'm changing it just like this review did. Can someone also tell me why my idle is 1.6Ghz (according to cpuz) when my multiplier is currently set to x33? shouldn't I be idling at 3.3Ghz? And how come there is...

    Help Overclocking the Corei5 2500k

Hi! So i've decided to overclock my 2500k, and this is the first time i've ever done anything any overclocking. My first question is this: I downloaded cpu-z and for some reason my cpu idles at 1.6Ghz, and when I do something a bit more cpu intensive, it goes to 3.3Ghz, and if i do something...

Help with Core i5 2500k processor

I think i'm just going to have to take it up the A and just live with it:( Mainly because I bought this online from TigerDirect and to RMA it, i'd have to mail it back to the warehouse before they sound out another one. ugh! I'll try to re-seat the heat sink to see if that does anything but i'm...

Help with Core i5 2500k processor

Thanks for the reply BonzaiDuck, So your sensors must be well calibrated. My two sensors on core 0 and core 2 seem to be busted or maybe my heatsink is not put on properly. But even with the stock heat sink i was getting numbers that were 10C off. And the ambient temperature in my room is...

Help with Core i5 2500k processor

You are right, but it took me a while to save up for what I have now. I do love my pc though, and I'm...

Help with Core i5 2500k processor

It looks like you might be the luckier ones! During idle, my core temps differ about 9-12 degrees:| Right now, its sitting at: core 0: 38C core 1: 33C core 2: 42C core 3: 30C As you can see, I have nearly 12C temperature difference!!! :( under prime with small fft, i get about core...

Help with Core i5 2500k processor

Thanks for the responses. So I guess its not defective but normal to have a 10C difference. I was only concerned because i've read people having nearly the same core temperatures, and I have a friend whose 2500k had core temps approximately 3-5C between them. Who knew it would depend on your...

Help with Core i5 2500k processor

I am using Coretemp and HWmon (not at the same time, ofcourse). I am also using the Thermal paste that came with the Corsair A50 HSF. Help with Core i5 2500k processor

Hello Sorry to start my first post with another 'temperature thread', but i'm worried that i'm seeing a huge temperature difference between cores. Core 1/3 run about 30-33C while core 0/2 run at about 40-43C. Are these temperature differences normal? Or should I RMA my cpu? This is my first...
