No I didn't. Who else? Ofc the topic starter. If you're too dumb to understand that by "The guy who started this thread" I mean TOPIC STARTER then it's not my fault.
Alright. I'll save this one. It's meaningless to be here anymore. See you in april.
It won't be very wise of me to start laughing at this specs now, because if this turns out to be true I'll make a fool of myself. But but but I'll make sure to bring this up if you are wrong.
All I know, is that some Nvidia fanboys are really upset with AMD having a nice lead with their new GPU's and try really hard to spoil this launch by lowering real-world perfomance numbers for it and posting false rumours about Nvidia's future offerings. I'm not pointing my finger at anyone. No...
I'm just really surprised by your attitude. Yesterday you were bashing and moking 7970 for not being as good as the speculations suggested it to be. And now you're posting your own speculations and want people to believe in them. :whiste:
You're posting the unconfirmed rumours that were...
Well, you're not any better than anyone from the hordes of "7970 60% better than 580" fanboys.
Stripping off "rambus and 1024 cores" from GTX780 we'll get another 10-20% faster than 7970 for 200$ more, 6 months later. Get real.
I completely disagree with the first statement(Semiaccurate have written about SI/NI story like 2 years ago. Read it if you're interested) and I'm fine with the second one(580 being on par with GCN 6970 on 32nm).
It's the same architecture they were planning to release a year ago, they just tinkered a little with it.
And it's not like 580 would've benefit a lot from 32nm. Just less heat/power consumption.
People should not forget that this card with 2048 SPs was supposed to be released a year ago on 32 nm. It would've trumped gtx580 back then.
Well that's why I'm pleased with AMD releasing it so early - this means they have a refresh in the works and if they pull off a card with +20% more...
Optimus randomizes power usage on mobile solutions. AMD promises a solution that turns on/off the whole videocard. Well at least they promise this. I don't know how this will perform in reality.
It never hurts to have a videocard that's capable of more things than one for free. At last AMD is...

So this is bacon. Turn the chip off completely. Even better in crossfire.

Eyefiniti with different size monitors and HD3D.
Lol. I don't believe you're THAT stupid. You were talking about FASTER Nvidia cards, yet in all your examples Nvidia's cards are slower than their Radeon counterparts.
Besides what's the point of posting cherry-picked prices after rebates? Huh? Post the 600$ price for 580 when it just...
The post above really makes me wanna flame hard. But... but...
If Nvidia launches a faster card than it's competitor, Huang will always charge 200-500$ premium price. That's why we will never have
from Nvidia.
6xxx series were planned for 32nm production. The 1920/2048 alu numbers for a new generation were floating in the air exactly one year ago. But 32nm was canceled and AMD was forced to cut down it's chips, so they would fit 40nm. This is why we have 1536/1408 69xx cards. This is when new...
Yes, we should take these rumours with a grain of salt, but hey, this is the first "chinese leak". They usually pop-up within a month before the launch date.
As AMD stated, they are going to release GCN cards this year. I assume that GCN is for high-end only, because mid-range cards should be vliw-4 to crossfire with trinity.
So, I'm expecting 7970 in October.
AMD managed to cut down TDP of c-50 from 9w to 5. I believe they can do the same thing for trinity. They've been focusing on lowering power-consumption for quite a while and this was already proven by their gpu department.
It's not like they lost lots of money, barely 7 millions. Most of the people already have proficient GPUs, so it's ok if demand drops a little. We have upcoming SI after all.
