How come no one mentioned the noctua NF-P12? I see lots of great reviews about them being quiet and rated for pressure. I've never personally used one.

I spoke too soon, buried in all the wires there is a 8 pin. I installed the 500W and everything boots fine on the main system (can't do much until I get my SSD and install win 7). I'll get the PS on order so I can get my NAS going. Thanks again for all your help.

I'll have to read up some more on file systems. Another thing I've been reading a lot - Green drives (which I have two 2TB) don't do well in a RAID configuration. Do the newer drives or hardware/software RAID address this?

I would make sure you are booting from the DVD drive before HDD so you can install windows, enable AHCI, and leave most other settings alone. I think most people adjust the ram timing for better performance, but adjusting it improperly will keep the computer from booting.

Thanks for the link and reaffirmation, the 2500k seems to definitely outperform the 2100, sometimes almost by twice. I had a hard time letting the cash go, but I don't like to wait so it will pay for its self.
