Upgrade from GTX 460 to GTX 660 or R9 270?

So my GTX 460 is having problems running the latest games at atleast 60 FPS so I decided to buy a new graphics card. I am running 1920x1080, i5 2400, 4GB RAM, Arctic Cooling Fusion 550w. My budget is around 160-170 euro. I know that the R9 270 is a bit faster, but I am kinda worried...

Downloading stops whenever I download bigger files

Hey, so I got rather weird problem, whenever I am downloading bigger files, the download would just stop and not continue whatsoever. The problem is that on my second and third computer it works perfectly fine, I can download whatever I want, but only on this one it stops. Any idea why? Thanks

MX518 sliders (padsurfs)

Hello, so I have been using my MX518 for about two-three years and just now one of the sliders "snapped", so I bought a pair of new sliders for the mx518, but I would like to ask if it is really just about removing the old one and applying the new one or is it somewhat difficult? Thanks

Also, I would like to ask if http://www.alza.cz/corsair-4gb-ddr3-1600mhz-cl9-vengeance-d216168.htm will work in the http://www.alza.cz/asus-p8h61-m-lx-rev-3-0-d241253.htm, it only says DDR3 1333, so I guess it wont?

I don't think so, I can even turn AA in DotA 2 and get the same exact FPS. I just prefer not to have it on.

I have "only" GTX 460 because I play on 1680x1050 and as I said, I do not play the latest games I mainly play CPU intensive games so thats why I want to change the CPU (DotA 2 = Source engine = CPU intensive not really GPU). Also, Biostar is not really sold anywhere in the country I live in...

Hello, so I decided to move from AMD to Intel, here is the deal, I at the moment have Phenom II X940 BE OCed 3.4GHZ, GTX 460 1GB, 4GB RAM and I could switch to i5-2300/2320, would it be a huge jump in performance, I only game, I do not do anything else on my PC, I only play games mainly DotA 2...

Hello, this might sound stupid, but I would like to know, if plugging in my second monitor will decrease overall performance while gaming. I would normally play on my main and on my second I would have dunno for example word or something else, would it dramatically decrease the performance...

Changing my PII X4 940 (OC 3.4GHZ) for i3-2100/2120?

Well, yeah, I bought "only" GTX 460 1GB coz I play only in 1680x1050 and GTX 460 is plenty for that resolution, I am not playing anything crazy like BF3, Crysis. I mostly play MMOs and as I mentioned before Valve's games (source engine) atm a lot of DotA 2. But you are right guys, I will wait...

Changing my PII X4 940 (OC 3.4GHZ) for i3-2100/2120?

Would it be worth it for me? I use my PC for gaming only. I usually play Source games (DotA 2 will keep me busy for atleast 3-4 years), I am not sure how well Source engine uses 4 cores on my phenom now tbh. My GC is GTX 460 1GB.

New card for KOTOR Online?

It is an MMO, so I am pretty sure you are going to be bottlenecked by CPU, getting better CPU would give you much higher FPS then new graphic card. Soloing/questing, running around will give you solid FPS, but once you get to a big city/raid/dungeon your FPS will suffer like hell. I am talking...

For those getting a new card to play Skyrim, some relevant info.

On my rig > Phenom II X4 940 OCed to 3.4, GTX 460 1GB, 4GB RAM the game runs somewhat fine, textures on high, rest is medium/low. I usually get 60 FPS which is great, FPS only drops when I enter a big city/new areas. Just my experience with the game so far. Edit: I am playing on 1680x1050.

So when I increased the voltage on NB to 1.2v and raised NB to 12x, OCCT test gave me an error on Core 0. What am I doing wrong?

Any Phenom II Owners Here?

If I may step in guys. I am overclocking my Phenom II BE 940, I am at 3.4GHZ and now I would like to OC the NB too, should I just it from auto to 12x or even 13x and raise the voltage to 1.2v? Thanks

Even after I have disabled CnQ my fps in HoN goes to 40ish while like 2 or 3 spells are going on, I have tested it by watching a replay, so dunno what is going on... In a big team fight, the FPS dropped to something like 20-23.... I even tried to turn all of the eye candy off (shadows and all of...

I was having the same exact problem even at stock speed (3.0GHZ) thats why I tried to overlock it. I will try to disable vsync and see how it goes.

I am pretty sure that GTX 460 isnt the bottleneck in those games, they are way more heavy on the cpu, I was having the same fps drops with my old GTS 250. I am also playing in 1680x1050, it is not even 1080i, so I am certain that my 460 is enough.

As mentioned Phenom II X4 940 OCed 3.4GHZ, GTX 460 1GB, 4GB 800MHZ RAM, MA770-UD3, W7-64bit, now the problem is, my fps is usually at 60 (vsync on), but whenever there is fight going on, it drops to 40ish.

Hey there guys, I have been having "problems" with my PC, in games I feel like the cpu is being slow. Some of you may remember me from before, I was having problems with MMOs, now, the problem is MOBA games (LoL, HoN). I overclocked it to 3.4GHZ but it does not seem to help, my FPS still drops...

Problem with Wi-fi connection

Yesterday afternoon from unknown reasons rapidly reduced speed of the Internet. In the morning everything was fine - youtube videos went smoothly, online games to 50 ms. I have a notebook via Wi-Fi, and probably will be a problem on my PC, because roommate has the internet on his notebook...

Okay, got it to 1.45 and 3.6GHZ, passed OCCT test, not sure if 6 minutes is enough to test the stability tho. Should I stay at 3.6 or should I go higher? Full load 59 cpu and 60 cores. I just dont want to run in to any problems, dunno if my PSU can handle all of it.

I changed something from auto to manual (lol, forgot) and it allowed me to change DRAM Voltage, NB Voltage etc.., but Normal CPU Voltage is still grayed out. I am sorry, but I raelly do not know what to change to.

Okay, I was in the BIOS and I am not sure what to increase tbh, CPU Voltage Control is at AUTO, is this what I should mess with. At first I thought its NORMAL CPU VCORE but it is greyed out.
