hello, quick question fellas, how many switches can you connect in succession before the signal is lost. also, i know the length limit for Cat5e's is like 100m, can i stretch 5e's indefinitely as long as i have a switch within every 100m or is there a limit at some point? thanks

ah i see, just wondering because i've recently been trying to get a network going with sharing, etc. but it's been a real pain in the ass lol i guess it doesn't help that our machines range from xp to 10 lol

haha, good question, i just thought that maybe the network signal would degrade passing through a router instead of directly into the switch, is this not true? is it not that big of a deal? i'm also a fan of if it ain't broke don't fix it, but i'm also a fan of the simpler the better lol haha...
