How fast are you guys running your T-birds at? Is anyone running one stable over 1,300Mhz?

I got my 1 gzh running at 1.3 ghz, air cooled only. but if i play like 8 games of quake in a row, it sometimes will lock up. I think it is heat related, so my watercooling final parts arrive tomorrow! My system specs: AMD 1ghz socket A T-bird (copper)-unlocked by pencil method to 1.3 ghz Abit...

I did the voltage mod to the motherboard????!!

on my KT7-Raid Abit board, but how or where can I see the voltage increase to see if I was successful? Plus, If i don't want that much voltage, like if I want to run default voltage, how do I do this now that I did the mod?

Arctic Silver Stuff made my CPU temp Skyrocket... WTF?

you obviously did something wrong. have the KT7-Raid, 1 ghz OC'd to 1.145 ghz with an Alpha Pal6035 and Artic Silver and my temps dropped initially 10 deg F when I applied the Artic Silver onto my old stock heatsink and fan.

what kind of ram should get for intense gaming?

Best Cooling For Abit KT-7 and Duron 700

I would go for the Alpha Pal6035. i am running at 1ghz and cpu temp is 30 deg C and system temp is 26 deg C. Have to get the 38 cfm fan, its loud, bit mine really cools.

uh no, the Pal6035 is the best for the KT7-Raid. I have it installed with the 38 cfm fan (its loud though), on my KT7-Raid and it cools and fits beautifully.

Thx Bastard, i am finally happy to see someone is trying or attempting to get a 1ghz beyond 1 ghz. The way i got 1.150 ghz is by ocing the cpu multiplier to x11 and the fsb to +4 and the voltage up to 1.85v, which gave me actually 1.144 ghz. Coupled with my Geforce 2 GTS I got Quake3 Timedemo...

Get the Alpha pal6035 with delta fan. it rules when it comes to being cool, and the new processors need extra cooling.
