Question Intel i7-6700k 4ghz upgrade suggestions

Hi Had my Intel i7-6700k 4ghz for about 4 years, to be honest, it still gives amazing performance, but I have a bit of $$ for an upgrade presently, can anyone recommend a good upgrade? Ideally, great bang for the $, like the Intel i7-6700k 4ghz was. Cheers

Windows 10 and Hardware upgrade

I am pretty much upgrading my whole PC, probably only things that will be left from the old PC are the power supply, case and DVD drive. I want to do a fresh install of Windows 10 on the upgraded PC, can I use my upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 10 version for this or will I pretty much have to...

So you can keep most of the graphical features on with one Titan X and still get above 45 fps in most games?

So will you get a good 4K experience with 980 Ti and Acer XB280HK Gsynch 4k monitor? I know the 980 Ti won't hit 60fps for 4k games, but the Gysnch monitor should make this a non issue?

Motherboard recommendation

Can any one recommend a decent motherboard that will support an Intel Core i4790k processor and also has support for NVidia SLI, namely looking at SLIing 980 TI's. Looking at getting one now and one at a later date when needed. I am not into overclocking so doesn't really need any...

RussianSenation, thanks yeah sounds like things could change quite a lot in the next couple of months. I'm looking at hopefully August/October to upgrade.

UltraHD gaming - worth it or not?

Yeah I just dont think there is the content to warrant it, maybe in a years time it might be worth it. Any thoughts on if there might be reasonable price reductions on any of the components in the next year or so?

Considering building an UltraHD gaming PC, but is it worth it? Is the image quality that much better than a game at Full HD? Are there any games coming out that have texture specifically for UltraHD resolutions? I beleive that Project Cars might? Cheers

8800 GTX to GTX 580

Ok got a GTX 580 and chucked it in last night. I ran some benchmarks before and after, the results are a bit confusing, I only changed the vid card between runs(drivers are latest Nvidia ones) 3DMark06 - Before around 12000 - After 17000 Vantage - Before around 7000 - After 21000 Dirt 3...

Will new consoles mean a leap in PC graphics?

Do you think we will see a huge leap in PC games graphics quality once Sony and MS come out with their latest consoles whenver that maybe? If the PC and console platforms are alot closer then hopefully this will be the case.

Intel X25-M G2 80gb v Intel 510 120gb SSD

Upgrading from an Intel X25-M G2 80gb to an Intel 510 120gb SSD. Really did it as I just wanted an extra 40gb on my main drive. Is it likely I will see much noticeable performance increase?

Well I have an i7 920 - standard clocks. Only have a 650w power supply so a bit worried about that. HD is a Intel 520 120 GB SSD

Thanks for the feedback, as for games I play, well nothing at present really, just trying to upgrade for BF3. Not really clear at this stage how demanding BF3 will be.
