changed my mind on portability, looking for more of a desktop replacement with a 17" screen. Battery life doesnt matter.

Im trying trade in my macbook and desktop for a good gaming laptop. Looking to spend up to $2,000 but would prefer to spend under $1,500 (the cheaper the better). I would prefer a bigger screen but it will be hooked up to a 1080p monitor most of the time so its not a big deal if its smaller...

wow thanks alot for all that, I actually mixed up my screen model. Its 2312HM which I have set to 1920x1080. I will be going over all that useful information and posting back soon with my decision, thanks again.

Thanks for the detailed reply, As far as I know the AMD cards cant use driver-forced AA in FF14, it makes no difference. CCC just came out with a preset for FF14 and I just put that on, it makes no difference still though. SweetFX can be turned on and off and it makes things a bit brighter in...

I have spent hours and countless nights trying to fix this issue for this game, if someone can help me out I will be extremely thankful, I love this game and really want to continue playing it but this constant flickering in the trees, grass, walls and shadows makes it difficult to keep playing...

i cut the budget $200 because i realized I need a few other things for the room I will be playing in, and a new mouse. So I would install windows on the HDD and the games on the SSD? Im still have a hard time understanding what the difference between HDD and SSD is.

I think im going to hold off on the hard drive for now. Ill only be playing d3 for the first while anyway. So how does this look am I missing anything?? i was also wondering about what the memory sticks are for, how do they effect gameplay, what do they do?

Everything as posted by Dominion except memory, I didnt get Patriot. Got Evo Corsa instead. Still cant Access the ASRock Bios or UEFI...not sure what else to try? And I found the internal HD in Device manager but still not sure how to configure it.

hm..just realized I cant get into BIOS. When I hit F2 or DEL it just takes me to a black screen with cursor and then Windows starts normally. I tried looking for the latest BIOS update from ASRock but my model isnt listed...

hey, its finished :) ; it was actually alot simpler then I originally thought, the only thing I dont understand is what is the difference between the SSD and the internal hard drive. After installation I am unable to locate the internal hard drive, it doesnt make a difference if I plug it in...
