Performance was better with 4.4.4 and it was rock solid stable. 5.0 and 5.1 could use some more polish and it uses more RAM but other than that, I prefer most of the improvements in Lolipop even though there's a few I could do without.
What issues did you have with them? I've had them for the better part of two and a half years without many complaints. In fact they've gotten even better. They're practically throwing data at me now. When I signed up it was $45 for unlimited talk, text, and what I think was 2.5gb LTE, then 3gb...
If you don't want the G2, the Moto X is a good buy. The 2014 model can be had for $299 new. Pretty great deal. Camera is alright and battery life is serviceable but that's some pretty killer specs for $300. 2013 Model can be had for under $200
Honestly a Galaxy S3 would be fine if you want it. Dual Core S4, 2gb, 720p screen. Same specs as the Moto X 2013. Only difference is it is running Samsungs skin and could get laggy at times. For a phone to use as a phone (Texting, email, GPS) then it will be fine. I still see LOTS of them out in...
Yeah! Use they least secure operating system and web browser out there! MS is only after money! There's no reason why they shouldn't support a 14 year old operating system.
You show them!
You don't own the software. You're paying them for a license to use it. Big difference.
Think of it kind of like a drivers license. You paid for it and can use it whenever, but it is revokable and subject to certain terms and conditions. Closest analogy I could think of.
This post basically sums up the thread and everything that is wrong with WP^
MS has always been slow with things dating back well before smartphones were even a thing. And then they were late to the smartphone game. Windows Mobile was solid, especially for business users, but they got...
You probably just don't have the google now launcher. Some older devices don't have it. Happened to me on my Nexus 4 with Kitkat. Updated from JB and everything looked the same aside from the google apps. Which I was fine with.
The issue I have with WP is that it's always been a game of waiting. It has been for the last 5 years.
"Wait for 7.5, things will get better."
"I wouldn't leave, 8.0 will really change things"
"Developers are waiting for 8.1 before they do anything"
The problem is, the platform has been in...
Where are you having issues with ATT congestion? I've been on ATT's network for about 2-3 years now and haven't had much issue including in major cities. 8mbps isn't much of an issue as you can still stream video and music just fine. I'm on ST right now which is another ATT mnvo. My speeds are...
RAM and CPU are what's choking you likely in that order. The Workstations listed above should be more than adequate. Some of the machines we use at work are the same model you currently have but the work load is usually MUCH lighter
Was that meant toward me? Sorry I haven't been on in a few days.
All the laptops I've purchased I've gotten at least a couple years use out of. The 1 year remark was more hypothetical than anything.
That being said I don't usually demand a whole lot out of my laptop. Honestly if it weren't...
