Best Firmware For ASUS RT-AC68U?

Using merlin on my ac66u simply because it's possible to turn off the LEDs :-) Merlin is not focused on adding features, however.

Samsung Magician - OS Optimization question

Upgraded Samsung Magician to the newest version, and couldn't keep it from starting on boot. Appearently it is now added as a scheduled task that is executed on start as opposed to registering as a regular startup service/program. It can be found by running Taskschd.msc and it should be in the...

GTX 970 combined with I5 2500K

Depends on the game. Do you have any games in particular you play a lot? Still, I'd say go for it... CPUs hasn't improved that much, especially considering your overclock

Question about: Need recommendations for new speakers?

I own the audioengine A5+. I'm very satisfied for what it's worth, I believe they are among the best active 2.0 speakers you can get. I don't have a basis for comparison however, as they were a huge upgrade from my previous speakers (I prefer good headphones over speakers).

Learning C# - where to start

I learned C# using john skeet - C# in depth. This book skips some of the basics, but covers more advanced features better. Along with some internet references, it provided me with an in-depth introduction (I knew C++ before starting though).

Netflix calling out US ISPs

You get the Netflix library corresponding to the IP. Using a proxy/vpn I get access to the US library from Europe. Which seem to have more content btw

I have an iPod and don't use iTunes. Most good music players will have portable integration (I use musicbee, MediaMonkey is another one).

Disabled monitor sleep. Problem solved as far as I'm concerned :-)

Help choosing a Phone.

Really satisfied with my G2. Excellent battery life. Currently at 64hrs with 34% remaining :-) That is with wifi on, but moderate usage.

Windows 8.1 Home Edition nor bios sees my 4tb drive

Are you booting off the drive? If you are able to boot to windows, I would try to convert the disk to GPT. Start > Run > diskmgmt.msc Right click on the square disk area.

Hmm yeah, I would agree with that description. They started out in the psychedelic rock genre, but evolved into their own thing. I wouldn't know how to label their later work, but it definitely had psychedelic roots. True, the middle part is fine. It gets real old after hearing it numerous...

I'd have to go with Pink Floyd - Echoes (Live At Pompeii) Certainly not for everyone, with its 24 minutes of progressive rock. I usually skip over the middle part myself, which isn't really part of the song anyhow. Loved 'the 77s - mezzo', awesome instrumental. First time I've heard that...

Windows 8.1 your opinion

Better than win7 under the hood. Classic shell sorts out all the issues for me, basically. But yes, the start screen and full-screen apps is awful. Maybe the tiles could have a use if they were integrated into the desktop mode somehow. Who thought fullscreen apps was a great idea on a desktop...

7950 overclocking guide/tips?

Couldn't adjust voltages on mine, which makes it hard to fine-tune. Ended up flashing a different firmware which lowered voltage a bit, and using CCC overdrive as the others mentioned.

Are you using a framework for user interface like winforms, WCF or a cross platform framework like Qt? If it's a console application, you're probably stuck with printing a message to the console window and "Press any key to continue..".

NVIDIA driver updating method - uninstall or update?

I usually look at how big the changes is before deciding. I always uninstall - reboot - driver sweeper - reboot - install when I'm going to/from beta drivers though.

Best AMD Drivers to download?

I'll chime in with a few questions too. Which games causes the crashes? Crashing is obviously unplayable even with stellar FPS, so have you tried the non-beta drivers? If yes, do they also slow down/crash the game? I'm on 13.3 beta 3, which has worked fine for bioshock infinite and borderlands...

I'm in the same situation. I've tried several programs, to no avail. Tried both the stock bios and F43, but no VRM temps to be found. It's a gigabyte WF3 as well, bought two weeks ago (January ed. perhaps?).
