Looking for a good TV tuner card...

I want stereo, decent resolution, and Svideo/comp in. I need just the tuner, not a combo card. What are my options? Hoping its under 100 bucks...

Whats the deal with all the cheap "Athlon only" Ram?

I have seen quite a few places on pricewatch that are offering 256 meg PC-133 sticks for athlon only systems. And they are like 30 bucks cheaper! As in 256 megs of 133 for 58 bucks. Now i just ordered 4 Kingston 256 CL2's from amazon for 9.99 each (I think that was a glitch) and in case that...

New Radeon Drivers in 3dMark2001...problems

OK i just installed the new DX8 Radeon Drivers from ATI, i think they are 4.13.7075 And i am expereiencing hangs and restarts in 3d mark 2001. They are definitely faster then the Dell ones i had, but far less reliable it would appear. Are their conflicts with the Athlon, or 100mhz ram...I...

radeon With Dx8.0??

i tried the 3102 with DX8 and a 32 DDR, and had a lot of problems with media player, both loading and playing

Issues with the "Rate this member" feature...

Anyone can just indiscriminantly go around lowering honest traders ratings. I understand most people simply rely on heatware, but a low rating number on your profile looks bad. Now i turned mine off when i realized the feature existed, but i guess thats not really fair either. The other side...

the ATI RADEON SE picture is totally fake!

It also has an NVIDIA fan on it...An ATI approved fan would be black, or silver, not "nvidia green"

what program overclocks the radeon besides powerstrip??? Cuz i dont get a big difference in OGL between 166 and 195, but it is big in DX

I wasnt pointing out the type of fan, but more the fact that it is green, which is Nvidias color. An ATI fan would be black, and i just cant see a company like ATI wanting to use the exact fan as a competitors card, in the same color and all, that just makes no sense. Listen, you can believe...

The card IS fake, i once again point out the Nvidia GF3 fan on the card, and it certainly does make a difference that the card is stamped 2000, since this card would certainly have to of been produces after that point. Why would they now produce an overclocked version, it is too late for that...

when is the Geforce3 going to be available to buy?

ahem...at 1024 by 768 by 32 the gf3 gets about 150 or so fps, compared to a GF2's 70 or so, last time i checked 150/70 was 2 or so...and my source is Nvidia, not the local benchmark page.

Which for Win2k/Photoshop/3D apps?

i would go with the Radeon for photoshop, it has better image quality 3D, and superior 2D

they (nvidia) may produce a faster card GF2, but not a better card (terrible image quality/broken S3TC implementation, not until GF3 anyhow

Just to play devils advocate since its not yet on ATI's webpage, i must say it looks like a fake to me, Why would ATI use an "Nvidia Green" fan? Looks a lot like the fan off the GF3, and the date on the card is 2000, shouldnt it be 2001?

the GF3 is most definitely not slower, and any benchmark that sudjests such is flawed, the GF3 is roughly twice as fast as the GF2, now i cant agree with the 500$ price tag, and waiting for the NV-25 is probably the right move, but the GF3 is still an amazing card. In my opinion the FIRST good...

19" monitor shopping help

Go with a Dell P991, as far as i read, and from my own experience, you cant buy a better monitor, and you can get one on their factory outlet for under 400. I believe the sony equivialent is the G400, but its a falt screen trinitron tube. I worked in the lab next to the monitor lab at Dell...

Are professional Video Cards (like the 3d Labs Oxygen line) good gaming cards

depends...if the card has onboard geometry, then yeah it should fly in games, but ONLY opengl games mind you, and probably only in NT, 2K, maybe linux. I am selling Fire GL 1 cards in the FS forum, they do not have onboardd geometry, but they still do well in games like quake 3, it just becomes...

191.3MHZ Good for a Radeon 32DDR?

I have a Radeon 32 DDR that i picked up as an A00 rev ES from work. SO basically its a production level card. Anyhow, it is plenty fast as is, but as an overclocker i of course got the itch, and i grabbed powerstrip and got it up to 191.3 I tried 200 but it crashed in 3dmark, i have not tried...

Hmm, i dont know what to make of this. Immoral YES. But illiegal? i dont know. A damn good ideal though for someone without a concience. I think his wording protexts him from legal ramifications though.
