CPU Fan Error

I had this issue on my ASUS p8z68-v board, there is a setting in the bios somewhere to do with CPU fan low speed detection. If the fan only spins slowly on startup, the bios does not detect it properly. The Asus support article is here...

Best RAM for Asus P8Z68?

Am also using this on the same board but have 2x8gb kits. It's defaulted to 1333MHz and I haven't bothered to change it to the rated speed. I've fitted a CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 which has no clearance issues.

Z68 - Asus vs MSI vs Gigabyte

I've just taken the plunge and ordered the Asus P8Z68-V/Gen3 along with a Core i5 2500k and 16gb of low profile Corsair Vengeance. Already have a Corsair TX650M and an MSI 6950. Thanks for all the replies.

MSI 6950 no post

BF3 performance is terrible (although I half expected this anyway) even with the new card. My cpu is holding the 6950 back badly, am going to go Sandybridge in the next week or so.

For anyone that's interested, I've now resolved the issue. Turns out my old Corsair hx520 was somehow not giving the 6950 enough juice. Went and bought a Corsair TX650M and everything is fine now. Now just need to upgrade mobo and cpu to get the most out the new gfx card. :cool:

Hi everyone, Long time lurker here but never posted until now. Anyway, just bought an MSI 6950 TwinFroz III to replace my trusty old 8800GT. Now when I power the system on there is nothing on the display and a red light shows on the top of the new card. I've reseated the card. System works...
